  1. I like to brew TeA a couple of times a week normally however I am 18 weeks pregnant and I find my taste for TeA while pregnant is diminished quite a bit.
  2. 16 oz sharp cheddar cheese grated One 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened 1\4 c mayo 1 small onion chopped 1 c chopped pecans 1/2 tsp garlic salt or powder Cayenne pepper to taste 1 c strawberry preserves Combine all ingredients except preserves in food processor or mixer. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 2-3 hrs. Scoop mixture on a platter and using hands form into a ring shape. Spread preserves in center of ring and serve with buttery crackers. I got this from Paula Deen'a lady and son's cookbook.
  3. I just wish I knew where to start in the spice dept....I've done some online browsing but get so overwhelmed I don't know where to start!
  4. TLC has become a freak show instead of "the learning channel". I hate the concept of the show and I think they are showing virginity in a bad light. That kiss though was just awful. ::ack2::ack2:
  5. Thanks to my pregnancy hormones...I shed a few tears. I thought it was sweet of her to offer that to Meri since she has been unable to have any more kids. I've been through infertility and it sucks! Robyn and Meri seem to have a closer relationship than the others. I don't judge them and how they choose to live I just enjoy watching the interesting family dynamics :)
  6. Drove to 2 different Walmart's last night and left immediately when I saw people parking across the street and walking in. I don't need anything that badly! I went back this morning around 11 and got a few things that I wanted. I have never done black Friday before and I don't think I will ever do it again.
  7. My oldest was born with a heart defect and had to spend a week in the NICU so he didn't get circumcised then.... We had a pediatric urologist do it when he was a year old under general anesthesia.
  8. It is definitely meant to be fun and not at all serious. If you can't relax and go with the flow then it is not the game for you. We have quite a large family and buying gifts for everyone is just not an option. This way everyone ends up with one really nice gift instead of 15 crappy gifts.
  9. The adults in our family do this every year and it is tons of fun! The way we do it is that the men bring men's gifts and the women bring girlie gifts, we draw numbers and then you can either pick a gift or "steal" someone else's gift. Married couples often work together to get what they want. We usually end up with something good and everyone has a good time.
  10. :party::party::party: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I'm happy for them and I wish them a happy and healthy pregnancy!
  12. Peanut butter balls Marshmallo fudge Butterscotch fudge Cream cheese cookies Fruit cake rolls Corn flake brittle Coconut balls Payday fudge Pecan tassies Orange Slice cake Filled cookies Mmmmmmmm....I can't wait! :D
  13. Thanks for the input....I really need to get a copy of WTM :001_smile:. I have read some of it from a copy I got at the library.
  14. I need help deciding on a K curriculum for DS for next year. I actually already purchased HOD but just don't love it. I feel it is too much bible for us. I do want to include bible study, I just don't want every single thing to be bible based. I am looking for a complete program as I am new to all of this and something that doesn't take all day to complete because I will have a 5yo, 2yo, and 3m old when we begin K next year. Some info about my K'er...he is fidgety, has to be redirected all the time, loves to be creative and has his own way of doing things. He knows letter sounds and can count to at least 50. He can write his name, knows his address and phone number and family members full names. He is very bright and loves to learn although he can be stubborn and hard to focus. Any input would be extremely helpful. :D
  15. We have the large one and it heats our downstairs during the day easily. It is an area of about 1000 sq....if it is really cold (like teen's) the heat pump may come on. Our electric bill did go down but we received it toward the end of winter so it is hard to tell just yet.
  16. That's so weird that kids would be exactly the same especially in length and weight!
  17. I had to have scheduled c-sections with both of mine and when they called back in the OR to tell me the weight of ds2 I was like  are you SURE? I told them I thought they needed to check their scales they must be broken!
  18. Of having 3 babies that are born weighing the exact same thing? My first two were both 8lbs 14oz  and I am taking bets on what the 3rd one will weigh :D any takers?
  19. I'm a nurse and I buy generic everything! Zyrtec, tylenol, ibuprophen, benadryl.....you name we have it in a generic version. It is the same active ingredient and I have never noticed a difference in effectiveness at all.
  20. I must be in the minority but my dh has access to my medical records if he so chooses. I have no secrets. I am a nurse and I feel it is important he knows my history in the event I can't speak for myself.
  21. We sell used cars and I own a tahoe with a salvaged title. It was stolen/recovered and had to be basically reassembled with some front end damage. If it is repaired properly then it shouldn't be a problem. Have someone check for frame damage and body repirs that were done with filler instead of relacement parts or dent removal. Check with the dmv to make sure you can get it registered particularly if it has an out of state title.
  22. This is the most horrifying thing I have ever seen and I wish that I hadn't seen it. I KNOW that I would have done something I could not live with myself if I didn't.
