My boys still doodle - even in college. Just flipping through some old notebooks. Granted the doodles are more intricate now.

Just realized finals week is next week for my boys! I am NOT ready to have them all home again. Need to stock the pantry and refrigerator!

Chicken w/ artichokes and angel hair pasta and Mocha Pots de Creme for an early Valentines Day dinner tonight (we old folks got scheduled to work on the 14th lol)

Said goodbye to our kitty, Marshmallow, of 17 years. She died peacefully in my arms. She was a special kitty - born Easter Sunday morning, a pure white kitten to a pure black momma cat.

ICE! Memories of 2007. Heard a crash in the middle of the night and saw that a beautiful oak just off the patio lost its top...right on top of the tractor :(

Son got his first deer of the season (archery). I guess I'll be "processing" today. Yummy!

DS taking the ACT this morning. Hoping this is the last one :)

Said goodbye to my sweet companion of 7 years. My Lucy was the best doggy, always happy and she loved everyone. There is an empty spot in my heart and home but she is no longer suffering.

Taking our lab in to be put down today. Sad and second guessing myself. She's been a faithful friend.

Seems so weird that I'm not planning any more courses. I've been drooling over CLRC and other online sites, but have no student to enroll. Must begin re-training :)

Our trash collector is the most underpaid worker. $10 per month and he hauls away my trash/junk/stuff

Yikes! The pile on my desk was obviously left unattended for too long. I just started organizing papers and discovered a scorpion!

75% off at the local nursery just changed my plans for the day :) Will be potting and planting all afternoon

My doggy is in stage 3 Congestive Heart Failure, SIL is non-responsive in hospice with stage 4 melanoma, my mom just had a heart cath and didn't tell anyone...looking forward to bedtime

Can't wait to get home internet fixed. Storm took it out almost a week ago. Don't like using my smartphone. A disadvantage of country living :p

College boy dons protective gear and hauls out the chainsaw. I'm on the tractor. Together we are tackling all the dead trees and limbs.

Relaxing morning - finals are over for the boys at home so they are sleeping in and I'm enjoying my coffee and quiet morning.

The prodigal kitty has returned after 6 days! Apparently the large coyote wandering across my patio did not eat her as we feared. Great rejoicing here :)

Yeah, I think either someone thought she was a stray and kept her and she finally escaped, or she got shut up in a barn and someone just let her out. Her brother, Thor, missed her terribly. We rescued these when they were about 2.5 weeks old and bottle fed them so they are really special. My son was ecstatic when I plopped her in bed with him at 6:30 this morning. A wonderful start to the morning :)
