This is what we do for our three kids. Every year we buy, or they choose, an ornament for our tree. When they marry and have their own home, they will take their ornaments and have them to start with. It is also a lot of fun each year decorating the tree as they pull out their ornaments and talk about the memories. Warms my mother heart! :001_smile:

It took me a while, but I was shopping over the weekend (2 hours from home) and found a Soma! The hive has done it again- LOVE! What a wonderful store and experience. I finally have bras that fit well, are comfortable and soft! Yea!! Amazing how something like that lifts a mood -among other things. :lol: Plus, the salesladies were marvelous. After the fitting she brought in different bras, plus ones on sale even without my asking. Love that. Thanks to everyone who recommended this store. You made my day- :hurray:

I emailed, but then thought I would call Rainbow Resource and am glad I did. Excellent customer service! They had someone call me back with the book in hand to answer my questions. :hurray: She also told me I could go to Berean Builders website where there are samples online to view. Plus, with RR I have 30 days to return it if it is not going to work for us. So, I just ordered it. Yea!! I will post more after I get it and look it over.

I would listen to and consider what the realtor is offering for advice, but ask around the base. Speak with other military or civilians and ask them their opinions about the areas. They all have to be living somewhere, right? They will know. It would be great to have one (or two) of them as your neighbors anyway. Whenever we moved, this is what I did and it always worked for us. :D Let us know where you end up. And like the previous poster requested: pictures, please!!! ;)

Thanks, once again, ladies. I just watched this *for the first time* last night! A good friend was shocked that I had never seen the movie (being one of her favorites) and lent it to me. Funny story: I am starting it and in comes my ds11 who says 'I love this movie!'. :huh: You have seen it?? 'Yes, with dd22.' Hhhhmmmm... So, he sits down to watch it with me. Dh has been working on his school paper and comes in. 'I haven't seen this movie is years!' :confused1: YOU have seen this?? We have been married 15 years, so it had to be before then. 'Yes, it was about 20 years ago. This is a great movie' and he sits down to watch it too. :lol: I hope you find this funny.... I sure did. Both of the men in my family saw 'The Princess Bride' before I did, and I didn't even know. :rofl:

Landry Academy Know in advance that they are a Christ-Centered: We offer Christ-centered online classes for 4th through 12th grade students on a wide variety of standard subjects such as math, literature, history, science, grammar, etc. We also offer several unique electives such as "Presidential Elections", "MBA in a Semester", "Intro to Radio Ministry", "U.S. Military Maritime History", "Critical Thinking for Emerging Leaders", "Biblically Based Journalism", "Crime Scene Investigation", "British Christian Authors", etc. We personally have not taken their classes yet, but do have friends who have taken their semester long classes as well as their summer intensives. Both have been very happy with them.

Our dog also eats Taste of the Wild but does get the canned version (1/3 of it each day) in the a.m. with the kibble. We also rotate the different protein sources for him for variety. Our dog has chicken and wheat allergies, so we have to watch that. He has a very sensitive stomach and will get ill with any 'extras' added to his food.

These two links are to Defense.gov and DFAS regarding pay for those furloughed. From this, we will get paid a partial paycheck (through 10/1) next week if you are a civilian federal worker. The following pay check will depend on your furlough status. I am hoping Congress will pass the back pay before then, but at least this is something coming in.
