  1. (((hugs))) We'll be praying for you and your family!
  2. Oh, see, I'd love to pick all the faucets and types of tile and such! I would love to build a home, just because we would like things that we don't have now (including space :D). We'd love a much bigger kitchen, a much nicer bathroom, and bigger bedrooms. This is our starter home and we're a military family, so chances are this won't be our final home :) or (unfortunately) our final city.
  3. WOW! We're doing grey squash, carrots, an array of herbs, potatoes, tomatoes & strawberries. I'm so glad Spring is here!
  4. :iagree: I actually think Dexter's coat is softer after a washing w. people shampoo. :) And I think it smells better, too. LOL
  5. I would say to massage as well, but if that doesn't do the job, perhaps it might be a keloid issue? I don't know your ethnicity (many folks with darker skin are subject to keloids), but I know when I have had piercings and my surgery, I've had to deal with them. :) HTH.
  6. We've really enjoyed using this free curriculum http://ourlosbanos.com/homeschool/history/americanhistoryindex.html She has a lot of fun activities. We haven't used all the books she suggests because we've found our library doesn't carry them, but have added our own in the same subject. We've had a lot of fun with it.
  7. We are using Biology I with my first grader. We just finished reading about Pasteur & it had him entranced. :) We like it okay, but we might look for something else next year.
  8. We use Los Banos & it's great. She does have lots of great ideas. The history pockets are awesome, too. I love Evan Moor products!
  9. :iagree: on both counts LOL. I'll probably spend the next month planning my dc's curriculum from Senior High now. LOL.
  10. WOW! He is quite talented. Thanks for the book suggestions. :)
  11. Dh bought a filigree ring in white gold from an estate jeweler. To prevent the filigree from wearing down, I don't wear a separate wedding ring. Dh wears a plain white gold band w. inscriptions inside. We were married 9 years ago next month. :)
  12. We locked the channels, too & set allowable times for them to watch a bit back, but we've gotten away from that. I'm glad to see it's working for you! I'd go w/o cable, too, if it were up to me :)
  13. Oh, I see it! :) Beautiful picture, BTW! The whole blog is so beautiful to look at!
  14. We used the Costco mattress topper while I was pregnant w. dd. I swear that & the chiropractor seriously saved me. We no longer have it, but I bought a Sealy one off Overstock & it's great. The memory foam toppers are awesome!
  15. I hadn't thought of that. At least they'll be prepared. LOL.
  16. I haven't no, but the things he learns from "Survivorman" and "Man vs. Wild" are going to put us out of a home or give us an ample supply of "game" for the next winter. :glare:
  17. I just asked dh & he said "like you." LOL. I've been told I look like the twins from "Sister, Sister." :tongue_smilie:
  18. What a timely thread ;)! BTW, as an incentive for going the Sear's route, they are having a sale on their mattresses now. It was very tempting for me. :tongue_smilie:
