    Got my kids hooked on Scarecrow and Mrs. King.....hard to believe I was their age when I watched it!

    Facing the mid-year slump! How do you keep your motivation going when you're ready to be done for the school year??

      It's tough sometimes. Homeschooling is my job. It's not an option to quit in the middle of a year. Each day we get up and do the school that's on the schedule just like my dh goes to work when he really doesn't feel like it.

    DH brought training chopsticks from Japan! The kids are eating grapes with chopsticks, and the toddler chopsticks are, of course, adorably cute. I love Japanese cuteness. :) Social studies...check!

      Cool! My dh grew up in Japan. We had chopsticks out the other day and my 6 yo and 8 yo handled them like champs from the first minute! I'm hopeless with them.

      In the "old" days, I'd guess that one item was on backorder but they aren't holding the order for one item backorders any more. I'm sorry you're having trouble. I'd call them.

      What's your definition of forever? I've ordered twice in the past two weeks and it shipped within 24 hours and I received within three days.

    Dh is putting in a new kitchen faucet. Current toal: 1 faucet, 4 trips to hardware store.

      Sympathizing here. DH is replacing the shower faucets here. Trip to hardware store resulted in clerks shaking their heads and saying they've never seen that part before. Not a good sign.

    Don't read with DS5 for almost 2 weeks. Come back to it tonight and he did the best ever. By far. I will never figure out my children.

      My little guy did this last year. Couldn't blend at all, came back from three week break at Christmas and immediately could read all three letter words I showed him.
