  1. Ds has one but hasn't used it in a while. Some things he made: A clacker for his guitar Nerf gun attachments for himself and a few of his friends Saturn (Apollo) rockets for his nephews (our grandsons) which he made in several pieces put together, and painted Other little toys for the nephews A succulent planter for me Some little ghosts for our Halloween decorations An extension for his fish tank light He works at an aquarium/fish store and has made fish tank covers for some of their tanks. He also made hermit crab "houses" for the crabs in the store.
  2. Dh and I grew up near where we live now. Different towns each but still close by. We've done that to each other for 30 years. We also did it to ds, with a bit of editing. 😂
  3. Hugs. I wish we still had the hug reaction.
  4. Because you said you can't help yourself I have to ask. Was it from Blazing Saddles? Hedly Lamar? 😄 I knew about Hedy Lamarr. There's a movie about her on Netflix called The Bombshell. It's worth watching.
  5. Universal has a few thrill-ish roller coasters - the new Jurassic Park one plus The Hulk for example. They don't have a bunch of thrill rides but the ones they have will probably satisfy those in your party who want a ride or two. Disney is not a thrill ride kind of place at all really. Agree on the two park pass for Universal so you can see both sides of HP World and ride the Hogwart's Express. Be sure to ride it both ways because you get a different experience each way. Universal can be done in 2 days - one day for each park or park hop each day. It's nowhere near as big as WDW which will take several days depending on how much you want to see/do and how many parks you want to go to. I can't help when it comes to places to stay or what kind of tickets to buy. We have Universal Florida Resident passes and we live close enough that we don't stay overnight. Haven't been to any of the Disney parks in probably 10 years. The first week of January is better than between Christmas and New Year's. Both Disney and Universal still have decorations up but won't be as crowded. We do go to Universal in December because we like to see it decorated but we go during the week before schools get out for the holidays.
  6. I didn't have any symptoms from either shot.
  7. Our old Roomba was Rosie, the Neato was Nellie, and the Shark was Jarvis.
  8. Dobby. Dobby is a free robot who chooses to work for us.
  9. Yes, I know. I meant Rosalynn's death hit me hard. I'm sure his when it comes will hit even harder.
  10. How many kids/players? Mantis is fun, easy to learn, and is for up to 6 players. It's from the company that makes Exploding Kittens. https://www.explodingkittens.com/products/mantis
  11. My Galaxy Watch 5 can do ECG, blood oxygen, blood pressure and heart rate. I think it only works with Android phones running Android 8.0 or above. Older Galaxy watches were compatible with iPhones but I don't think the later ones are.
  12. Same here. The only reason we replaced it is because HP was no longer supporting updates and without updates it was acting up. It gave us ten good years including ds' homeschooling high school years when I was printing a lot.
  13. Dh seems to like it. He's the one who felt we needed one and he bought the one for ds. I really didn't care one way or the other if we got one though I had to admit it was a good idea when it helped ds out. I hardly pay any attention to it. Okay. I just asked him and he said he chose it because it has front and rear cameras, dual channel, wide angle cameras, and has a supercapacitor. Apparently that last thing is important in dashcam technology. It also has accident detection so it won't write over a recording of an accident. And the price was right with all those features.
  14. I just wanted to say that it's good to know you're home and able to do at least some things. I hope your health improves.
  15. This week - -Get fall decorations put away -Begin (slowly) putting up Christmas decorations - we won't do our tree until next week -Update December planner -Freeze or make something with Thanksgiving leftovers - We had our Thanksgiving on Saturday and today will be our last day of eating leftovers "as is". I'm freezing some things today and planning to use the other leftovers more creatively the rest of the week.
