  1. We like poptarts here, too (especially the frosted cherry:D), but don't get them very often b/c they're relatively expensive and don't fill anybody up. So... we save them for special occasions, like camping & road trips. (Dh prefers the brown sugar ones.)
  2. Cute! Judging by some of the gettup I wear (or wore - haven't run lately - I'm preggo) for running, I'm not the best to offer advice... But, I really like the skirt! I imagine myself running so fast that no one really has time to notice my outfit. :D (Legend in my own mind, you know)
  3. :grouphug: How scary!! I'd also ask your doc about an EEG.
  4. Any suggestions on where to start? It's a story about a man and a dog and has some Christian content. Thanks!
  5. We actually haven't read any of the books either. I tried it as a read aloud a while back but it was really hard to get into, so we didn't get very far. DD15's sunday school class is having a LOTR movie-thon in a few days, so I was trying to #1 see what all the craze is about regarding them and #2 see if it's something that would be appropriate for her to watch.
  6. Okay, thanks! Dd just grabbed the first one she saw on the shelf at the library. Maybe we'll try again with the first. :)
  7. My big girls & I started watching this recently, but had to turn it off after the first 5 minutes. It was so gross and disturbing! My oldest probably could have handled it, but my 13yr old is pretty sensitive (soon to be 14) was really grossed out by it. Does it continue like that throughout the movie? If you're wondering what we found gross & disturbing - it was the choking someone to death (accompanied by the loud dying pulse) and the nasty mouth biting into a live/raw fish. I really wanted to see it, because so many people rave about it & the other movies in LOTR. My oldest wants to see it, too. I'm just wondering if it gets.... I don't know what the word is.... nicer (???) through the rest of the movie. Or worse? Or about the same?
  8. I laugh easily and I used to love AFV when I was a kid, but I can't stand it anymore. A lot of it is distasteful, but a lot of it looks too painful as well! Maybe I'm getting old too?
  9. I'm kinda wimpy when it comes to pain, and I don't remember mine being any more painful than having my cervix checked while pregnant. :grouphug:
  10. We're usually at MIL's, so this year is the first year that we're cooking our own big meal. We're having and asian food feast: bulgogi kimbap (like california rolls) egg rolls rice kimchee maybe curry mondu (potstickers) and maybe cookies for dessert
  11. We just made these and they were so good! And they tasted even better after the first day.
  12. We're having Overnight Caramel Pecan Rolls and bacon. The rolls are soooo yummy and all the work is done the night before. I think we'll have a late breakfast and then in the evening, we're going to have a feast of korean & chinese food!
  13. I sell baked things from home. (Well, I *did* anyway... had to stop b/c this twin pregnancy has been about all I can handle for now.) But with that type of business, you'd have to check & make sure it is legal in your state.
  14. :grouphug: I'm sorry. I have felt that way many times, too. As my children have gotten older, I've been able to see the benefits of continuing to homeschool. Helping my oldest getting her transcript & high school route planned this year has also been rewarding. And it helps me realize that this stage of life doesn't last forever. :grouphug:
  15. We're 53 minutes away from our church. I love the church, but it is hard to stay connected when we are so far away from everyone. There are no other churches like this one that are closer.
  16. I miss the hybrid view where you could easily sift through the silly to get to the serious. Is there a way to do this without having to scroll through each reply? I like the humor but I like to be able to easily see the serious replies too. Is there a hybrid - thread feature on here that I just haven't discovered yet?

Don't I wish! Not because of the holidays, but because it would put me closer to my due date.
  18. :grouphug: :grouphug: I hope you are able to go and have some fun tonight.
