  1. Stilily, Thank you for sharing your notes!
  2. I think SWB explained it on the pinned WWS thread. It's a long thread but I remember reading it somewhere in there. You have to dig it up going through the pages. I meant to print it out but didn't do it.
  3. MEP Math is a free, challenging and interesting math program. You can read what others said about it here in this forum. We love it.
  4. Have you looked at MEP math? http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/projects/mepres/primary/default.htm
  5. We are just starting to add MCT to our WWE. Our first day went well. The children really enjoy looking at the books themselves.
  6. We really enjoyed Rosemary Sutcliff’s version.
  7. The Otterbury Incident, by C. Day Lewis is a great book, for grown-ups or children.
  8. Spy Car, I have you to thank for getting me excited about Miquon. My two girls and I are loving it here!
  9. We love D’Aularies’ Greek Myths here. I read to my kids when they were 5 and 6, and they (7 and 8 now) read it to themselves every now and then. We love all D’Aulares’ books and have most of them.
  10. We use RS and Miquon and are enjoying the combination.
  11. I don't think you are behind. I would keep working with him and spend as much time as he needs on the foundamental concepts and skills. He may surprise you later.
  12. My daughter likes SWO a lot and does it independently. She started out with Level A as a first grader and is now working on Level D.
  13. You may try limit the movies in his perfect world. I think screen time really get in the way of good play and learning in general.
