  1. http://www.academicexcellence.com/complete-online-california-achievement-test-timed/ They also have a paper option.
  2. I vote for paying off debt. We sold everything and paid off everything in 2008 after the crash. Life has been amazing living with no debt, paying cash for everything. Putting more into our retirement savings.
  3. I am beyond thrilled with out Casio Privia PX-160 Digital Piano .
  4. Woot Woot, got my name back !!!
  5. I guess it is going to display my real name. Oh well. LOL
  6. Title says it all. Thank you in advance.
  7. The title says it all, the kids are about to finish Hoffman Academy. I would love suggestions on where to go next. We will be traveling the US extensively soon, so an in-person teacher just won't work for us.
  8. I know not everyone is on Facebook, so if anyone can think of other places to chat and share files, I would be willing to look into them.
  9. Thank you! I just can't stand to see them go away. His wife isn't computer literate and can't access them anyway as he never gave her permission. I love the books, but could never use them without the answer keys. I am thankful she is trusting me with the honor.
  10. Latin Book One and Latin Book Two - Have moved to Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1370196286443545/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/1951515371777993/ I have started this group in an effort to continue the work of a man who was dedicated to education. Donald Jerry Proffitt left us and no one controls the group at Yahoo Groups, since the groups are no longer supported I have requested of his wife to be able to take over and move the group. I take no credit for Mr. Proffitt's work, but only wish to share it with others. Donald Jerry Proffitt, now deceased, was the founder of theYahoo Latin Groups LatinBk1 and LatinBookTwo. Mr. Proffitt was a true Renaissance Man, pursuing interests in music, art, literature, science, math, languages, history, and theater. His career included high school and college teaching in a number of fields, educational marketing of textbooks and computers, public speaking and acting. He retired from teaching in 2006, but remained a lifelong learner, studying Latin and preparing free study guides and learning materials for students around the globe.

  13. Working on it. It will have a new home within a couple of weeks. ;-)Then I will post.
  14. I would like to be able to chat with those using the files also. We all need a bit of help along the way and can support each other.
  15. So there is a free Latin course that is used by some here and the resource is about to be lost. The owner / author of the text, audio, help files has passed and he left no one in control. The current storage place is no longer supported so there is no way to take over, who knows when it will shut down completely. It can no longer be moderated. His elderly wife only has the ability to add new people to the group. I have approached her in hopes of receiving permission to continue his work, move all he has done to a more current place so all can continue to use it. I have received her permission now. I just don't know the best place to house all the files. Any suggestions?
  16. My son became William James Scott-Smith ( example, not his real name ) instead of William "James Scott' ( 2 middle names ) Smith, but only on his S.S. I am sure it will cause issues later. Sigh. Glad you figured it out.
  17. I have had this happen, it turned out my son's middle name was hyphenated as a last name by the SS office. UGH !
  18. Baileys in your coffee!! Morning are the worst here.
  19. I have had 5 colonoscopies, colon cancer runs in the family, I always use Desitin before, during, after. I use baby wipes ( get the fragrance free ) and Charmin the softer the better. It is always horrible for me. Cold prep, colder the better. I never wanted anything else to drink.
  20. Ancestry has the more people, and the majority of them have trees, some they have been working on for 30 years like myself. I did do the 23 and me also and found a sister that we never knew about, she was given up for adoption. She is the only find.
  21. I would never pay the price for 23 and me for health when Promethease.com is only $5.
  22. Ancestry has been spot on as has 23 and me. Ancestry has more trees, if you are looking for family and to build a tree it is far better.
