  1. I thought perhaps the liquid would seep under the smaller bowl before it had a chance to freeze and ruin the wreath effect. Maybe the amount of liquid that could seep under the smaller bowl would be so minimal it could be gently chipped away once frozen?
  2. This looks awesome with the frozen cranberry wreath! I don't own a bunt pant or any kind of pan/bowl with a wreath shape. Anyone know of a simple way to create the frozen wreath with basic kitchen bowls?
  3. Ds14 wants Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon games for DS and Dungeons and Dragons books. He also asked for a new pillow🙂 He swims so we will also get some new jammers and goggles.
  4. I recently stumbled on a youtube video for Young Living's new make-up line. I have never tried this or any other mineral foundation, but like the thought of using more natural, less toxic, products on my face. I would love to hear a review from someone who is NOT selling the product! ;)
  5. Ooooo. I loved that song! Nice trip down memory lane. Thanks😊
  6. My favorite cats have always been tuxedos, but that calico is just about the cutest kitten ever!
  7. This is us except we have furry alarm clocks with four legs, long tails, and very loud voices declaring they like to be feed on schedule. They are very persuasive!
  8. Every month, I get crazy bloated for 4 days. My clothes do not fit. I have one pair of yoga pants I can wear when I must go out. I wear a loose gown at home. I look about 5 months pregnant. Is there anything that I can do to minimize the bloating? I also get terrible cramping. My doctor suggested an iud or huge amounts of Motrin for cramping and had no recommendations to minimize bloating. What says the Hive? Any advice?
  9. People smoking at every parade in our little town. Seriously, every time my family sits down in a smoke-free zone, someone comes along and lights up within a few minutes. When I arrive early at the swim meet to stake out a place and last minute peeps arrive and want to crowd in crazy tight (close enough that we are touching) because they want to sit in the area with the best view. Get there earlier, or sit in the less crowded crappy viewing area. People who put on lipstick (at their table) in restaurants when they finish eating. I don't know why this bothers me. I don't care if they put on lipstick. I just don't want to see it while enjoying a nice meal.
  10. The mannequin house is beautiful, but I can't imagine going it on an open house tour. When startled, I screech. (It is not overly loud or anything, and my family just ignores it, but I can't help it.) I think if didn't know going into it that the house was, umm "special", I would be jumping and screeching from all the "people" surprising me around every corner.
  11. I feel kinda bad for "liking" your post, but a day that ends with hubby taking you out to dinner is at least a day that ends on a good note. Hoping you will enjoy a peaceful (and uneventful) week.
  12. If you own an air purifier, have you noticed any difference in air quality? We have allergies and asthma here, and I wondered if this would help. If you have used one and you like it, please include the brand. Do you just have one in the bedroom or multiple purifiers? How often do you have to change filters? Anything else I need to know/consider?
  13. Conference List: Wear comfy shoes Think how you will carry everything. Consider a rolling cart. Big bags of books get HEAVY Our doesn't allow outside food/drink, but I am usually able to bring a bottle of water A budget! I have been known to get a little carried away😉 Pick up lots of catalogs. I usually make a "once through" and purchase my must have items I researched beforehand. I sit down and have lunch or a snack and look though the brochures and decide which booths I want to revisit to pick up extras. I also sometimes total my spending while I am resting a few minutes and see how I am doing budget wise. Some companies have discount codes on the catalogs, or forms for a free materials drawing. I will take a catalogue or brochure from most vendors. Sometimes I am looking for a discount code. Other times it is something I am not very familiar with and take it home to research further. Have fun! Five hours should be a good amount of time to explore and get lots of goodies☺ï¸
  14. Hmmm. I am a small town girl, not a country girl, and have never even heard of this so I have no idea. But it is fascinating, so please update with how mama is doing. Baby goat pics are also always welcome!
  15. Sounds wonderful. When we were newlyweds, my Dh and I read several books aloud to each other. When ds was young, he would join us for many family read alouds. I loved all of us snuggled in together, taking turns reading, and then quoting funny lines through the week. Now ds is 14 and while he enjoys our hs history read alouds, he would much rather have his evenings to himself and pretend that his father and I don't exist. Maybe Dh and I should take up reading just the two of us again.
  16. I love it when all the cats are on the bed with me for a nap (or when I read in bed at night). It just seems so cozy. It's like the world can't be such a bad place (in spite of what you may hear on the news) if there are sleepy kittens to snuggle around you.
  17. When I was a child, my mom did it: X marks the spot A circle and a dot Dash, dot, dash, dot Big question mark Blood running down When my ds son was little, I changed "blood running down" to "chocolate syrup all over". I never thought the "blood" was creepy when I was little. It just struck me as weird when I had a child of my own.
  18. As I sit here on my sofa, I am surrounded by my 3 indoor fur babies. They just all woke up from their naps and all three are now grooming themselves. It is very common for my fur babies to eat, sleep, play, groom, and randomly roam the house at the same times. If you have more than one cat, do they also seem to have synchronized activity? Just curious😸
  19. I have had several infections with no pain, just lots of "stuffiness". Ds who was diagnosed last week with a perforation in his ear drum had a stuffy feeling for some time. I didn't take him in earlier because we thought it was just his allergies. It was pus causing that feeling.
  20. My ds 14 is a swimmer. We were in urgent care today with ear pain and told that his ear is so full of dark puss, it is impossible to tell exactly what is going on in there. Dr. suspects an untreated ear infection and inflammation has caused a perforation. We were given amoxicillin and ear drops, and told to return Monday to be reexamined. Ds is very disappointed to be out of the water. He is having a great season and expects to do well at state championships next month. If you or someone you know has had a similar dx, and they were a swimmer, how long were they out of the water? Were custom ear plugs an option? Is there anything we can do to encourage quick healing? I just don't know what to expect. The dr. was a little vague, but said after he rechecks ds's ears on Monday, he may refer us to a specialist. I just wish I knew more about what to expect.
  21. OMG. Scarlett, you just brought back a horrible summer memory where a friend and I had a wonderful afternoon picking wild blackberries... only to wake up the next morning with a ton of chigger bites where "the sun don't shine." It was my only experience with chiggers, but true to what Scarlett posted, it was hours before I noticed and they weren't on my more exposed parts. I vote fleas.
  22. I also live in Oklahoma. I am guessing it would do no good to report him to the management. The management is probably the of the same attitude and maturity level.
  23. Wow! I love going to open houses and checking out architecture, design, etc. and have seen a lot of homes. NEVER have I seen anything remotely like this. (Thank God!). That is beyond crazy.
  24. Prayers for your mom and your family.
