  1. To be honest, it’s easy to think that in your shoes and I would do that if he were the kind of person you could say this to. If he would take correction and calling out with thought and level headedness…we wouldn’t have these issues.
  2. I agree with @Scarlett Wealthy and comfortable are two different things. To me, Wealthy means you don’t have to keep working a job you don’t love because you can live off of investments, start a business, or have the assets to do something else. ETA: we’ve def never been wealthy since we’ve never had more than 2 toilets 🤣🤣
  3. The Alba that I linked first is a spray and spraying is sufficient. We use it at the beach, it is water resistant and works well. The daily face one I linked second is a lotion. The second one I linked is not water or sweat resistant. I use it for light use on my face only when I don't want a lot of sunscreen.
  4. Sounds just like my FIL and the reason everyone just let him be and didn't confront him is because he would get aggressive and/or moody if you did. It wasn't worth it but it didn't make him right. So we just let him be and walked carefully, never disagreed, limited interactions, etc. It is hard to know how to handle these people because confrontation doesn't work. He had to always have the one up and be in full control. Other thoughts and opinions weren't allowed, listened to, or respected.
  5. We get them here for older DS. https://primesunshine.com It helps a lot with his crohns. I called one day because I couldn’t get into my account and I didn’t realize I’d called a touch before they opened and I got the owner and I bet we talked for 45 minutes. She is really fantastic and very passionate. She has done all sorts of work on the medical side of this and even taught medical workshops at Harvard.
  6. I don’t return things often but when I do sometimes there isn’t a category for my reason (which is required). Sometimes it isn’t broken, too small, or too big and there really should be more options or at least an “other”. like …. Didn’t spark joy It doesn’t fit me how it fits the model Seems low quality Decided on a different brand/style Wasn’t the life changing purchase I expected Anyone agree? Any other “reason” suggestions you want to add 😂
  7. No, we all really like it. We’ve been using it for a few years now.
  8. We had a hard time with coppertone staining clothes and changed to this a few years ago … Alba Botanica Sunscreen for Face and Body, Fragrance-Free Sunscreen Spray for Sensitive Skin, Broad Spectrum SPF 50, Water Resistant, 6 fl. oz. Bottle https://a.co/d/beMdMHB Bonus, it’s more natural and has a better ewg rating too ETA: we use the sensitive skin version For a daily wear face I use this and haven’t had staining issues EltaMD UV Clear Tinted Face Sunscreen, SPF 46 Oil Free Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide, Protects and Calms Sensitive Skin and Acne-Prone Skin, Lightweight, Tinted, Dermatologist Recommended, 1.7 oz Pump https://a.co/d/63mBvH4
  9. I can empathize. My oldest ranged from older elementary to middle school when the shift happened here. *Just* homeschooling isn’t enough. Everyone is in multiple programs and always busy. My younger DS really has had a different schooling experience, lacking in park days and field trips, etc. It is sad. My older ones had so many of those when they were younger. Unlike your little guy, mine has never really longed for friends. We joke he was born 30 and having older siblings just made his mindset even older still. He processes like an adult, interacts with adults well, and he doesn’t really have the patience for the immaturity of boys his age (granted, it is a rough age). It used to bother me some but the ultimate goal is to raise good adults and we spend most of our life as adults so I decided a while ago not to sweat it. Even if I put him in school, I think his mindset would be the same.
  10. Years ago you used to be able to wing it but national park popularity is at an all time high so you’re not guaranteed entry anymore without reservations. So tell him that planning is required or the whole trip could be in vain. That would be a bummer.
  11. I never think of Walmart but I should check them out more often.
  12. Good idea. I always layer another tank underneath.
  13. Since we had a big discussion last year about this I don’t normally shop Walmart but I was in there in search of something and these caught my eye because they looked perfect https://www.walmart.com/ip/Time-and-Tru-Women-s-Sleeveless-Knit-Dress/868953947?athbdg=L1600&from=searchResults $9.98 With pockets and super comfy. I’m 5’4 and it comes to just past the knee. It washed great so I went back and got 4 more. I need some cooler dresses for summer and this material is light and cool.
  14. yes she finally had to embrace cosleeping for night and they’ve done really well with it. They sleep long stretches at night sometimes. It’s how she’s keeping sanity. I’ve been encouraging her to start taking a nap or two with them in the day and maybe they’ll sleep better that way? hopefully soon they will be better about the crib. They are recently ok in there awake, playing or looking at books but they won’t fall asleep there. It’s a start
  15. I found those on Amazon on my brother’s baby registry and they’re even better than I thought they’d be. So soft. If you know anyone having a girl, it’s a great gift. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CRFWW61?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  16. No books will work until we can lay them down. We cannot lay them down or they wake up immediately, screaming. Then we reach overtired and won’t sleep anywhere and then it’s a whole big mess. This x 2 is so much fun 😜 They sleep great on the nursing pillow, in the carrier, and in bed with mommy. They panic when they hit the crib. No amount of gentleness, reassurance, etc changes that. Hopefully one day soon though. ETA: I’ve had four babies and faced nothing like this so I’m just baffled.
  17. Maybe one day we’ll make it to the starting level for sleep training 😂 DD has read on it some and we’re so far away from the point of even being able to start. It was a little discouraging for DD that the worst case scenario examples were better sleepers than peach and nectarine. But they get more settled each day and I think we’ll get there in the next month or so.
  18. Now if we can just get them to do it in the crib.
  19. Today, for the first time ever …. …drumroll… we fell asleep in car seats A routine thing for some babies but a huge leap for these sleepless little girls. ETA: If you’ve been following our sleep saga then you know why this is a big ol’ deal lol also I fixed their necks once we were in the house 🤣
  20. Someone in my extended family at Easter tried to say that slavery was such a blessing because it took people from Africa where there is poverty and sickness. I had to take a quick, deep breath before unpacking the error in their logic with them.
  21. DH is from the PNW and we lived there for a little over a year. It truly is beautiful and I think you'll love a trip there. We also lived in Oregon for a year, it is also nice. DH grew up in a small harbor town outside of Tacoma (which is outside of Seattle). We moved there one May (it has been at least 20 years) and I spent the summer thinking I had landed in heaven. I'm from the hot south so the summer was just gorgeous weather. Then the rain started in the fall and I believe that year it was 180 days of straight cloud cover. I'm solar powered so that was not ok by me lol. I think you'll love a visit ❤️
  22. Yes he was a flat coated retriever and an amazing dog. He died at 7 from a tumor. I don’t see many flat coated retrievers but one day I came across one in the park that looked just like ours and it was a weird feeling.
