  1. Old people in their 90s loose their body fat and become basically skin and bone. It is just the way it is. They also tend to eat less as they really don't burn much energy ( in previous life I was an aged care worker)
  2. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Boys :toetap05: they are a never ending worry it doesn't stop when the get older. My ds20 just rang me ( 30 minutes ago) to tell me he was in a head on car crash and his car is totaled. Other car has claimed full responsibility was cutting the corner in remote rural dirt road deeply mountained clifff on one side type of thing. Ds20 was on the inside of the corner.
  3. I saw a investigation program into insurance fraud. Apparently this is one of the questions on some work cover forms. In the investigation program it uncovers a person who was killed in a work accident the but was revived. The insurance denied his claim for injury because it wasn't fatal enough. Arrrg! having huge trouble with auto spelling fix.
  4. We were forced into it by a failed school system. I was anti homeschooling.
  5. Not so much cloud seeding here in Aus but rather the intense heat that rises with the smoke etc into the atmosphere with a huge firestorm pulls cooler damp air from the coast, thus creating a big rain event, which puts out the fire. Has to be a big firestorm though
  6. :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: tonight I will cry in remembrance of a lovely boy full of life :crying: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  7. 10 pm. it is the earliest I can get to bed as Ds12 does his next day's morning school work form 8.30 - 10 in the evenings as he has Dyslexia and cannot concentrate with twins around. I get up between 4-5 am.
  8. years! Their brain is reconfiguring for most of the teen years. Take things s..l..o..w..l..y. Give only one instruction at a time.
  9. we cannot buy cod at all. What they have in the supermarkets is imitation cod which is some fish from South Africa treated to taste similar.
  10. Aldi is 100 km away. As are most shops. We go once a month or so. It is almost always well stocked. Though they are constantly refilling the bananas. There are fast food shops that go there and use it as a wholesale wherehouse. I have seen them taking a huge amount of flatbread and lettuce.

  12. feeling really really down about the court hearing yesterday. (Silly I know seeing that the court granted us what we were all after) but the silly judge mentioned where I live - so now birth parents know. There are only about 1000 people in my area. every single person knows me. so if the birth parents want they can now come to the area (that they now know) and ask anybody to point out my house and find us.
  13. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I understand I really do. I had one twin get his hands in a 3 kg tub of honey, just because I was on the phone for a few moments and he was out of supervision for those few moments. Honey is very messy
  14. Thank you so much everyone. So much nicer partying with others than by myself. Dh will be back from Canada tomorrow.
  15. So yesterday I traveled to Melbourne and went to court and was granted permanent care and guardianship of the twins

  18. When dh goes to Canada I get depressed and go back and forth between lack of motavation to super frantic hard labour cleaning/yard work
  19. Traveled to Melbourne. Tomorrow is the court day to hopefully get permanent care and guardianship of twins
  20. I think ( but could be wrong) that shaving legs started during WW2 as stockings were next to impossible to get. So women would shave their legs and dye them with gravy powder to look like they had stockings on. They would even draw a line for the seam.
  21. I personally know someone who got arsenic poisoning. Turned out it was from eating apricot seeds. I have heard that it talks as little as one tablespoon of ground up apple seeds to kill a person. ( not sure if this is true or not).
