  1. What core are you doing for read alouds I might be able to help you out with the schedule.
  2. We like them, We use them as a filler, if my kids fall behind in reading or I want to test how they are doing, or just for extra practice. The kids really like them. But the kids read only 1-2 a year because they are for each grade.
  3. I went to the library & grabbed all of them. & then bought the one with the best pictures. ;) Target also has one in the dollar bins, that is surprisingly good. :001_huh:
  4. Wow, we spent $350 this year & it was a lot for us. I probably will spend $100 more this year. Usually we spend $200.

  9. Wow, thanks great advice! I like the post it/book mark idea & will try having the older read first since it will take him 1-2 weeks & 2-4 weeks for the younger. :iagree:
  10. My husband speaks Korean fluently, he wants to teach my children this year for 30min nightly. I'm concerned they will learn the alphabet & it will end. So what programs or workbooks would you get to supplement during the school day.

  14. I agree. I've been tweaking for a week now, so fun & crazy. But I could have just started with no help from me. :grouphug:
  15. I read on Raising Olives blog that they do it as they go, so read the read alouds & then do the timelines & maps daily. Read her blog, it's a huge help, if she can HS with 11 anyone can.
  16. I have 2 children who will be reading the Core D readers. DS will be reading advanced & DD will be reading regular readers. But the books are the same books 12 weeks out of 36! They aren't going to be avid readers if they share. Should I buy extra copies or switch around the schedule, I bought SL for the schedule. Lol
