My dd just bought her first mp3 player and now she needs some music. Where are some good sites for legal downloads? This is not an ipod, so I'm assuming itunes is not going to work? Are there free sites? Do all legal downloads cost money? Do we set up an account somewhere? Thanks for humouring the mp3 newbies at our house.:001_smile:

This is what bugs me: would of could of should of They would've, could've, should've known better.:001_smile: As for the HW sound at the beginning of whether, what and whale, I was taught to pronounce words this way in elementary school. I can remember making one of those construction paper pinwheels attached to a straw. We were told to put our mouths close to the pinwheel and say words beginning with w and wh. The wh words were supposed to make the pinwheel spin.

Mine are grades 5 and 7. We start at 9, take a break from 11:30-1:00, and are done for the day by 2:30-3:00.:)

Hi Sarah, How old is your ds? My son could care less about Star Wars. He saw the movies, thought they were fine, but never cared to "play" Star Wars with light sabers, etc. He has never played with cars or action figures of any kind, and could care less about sports. He doesn't play hockey, baseball, soccer, etc. and he doesn't watch the games on TV. He doesn't play video games, either. When he was little, he loved to take cassette tapes and household appliances apart. He took my cupboard doors off with a screwdriver before he was 2. As he got a little older, he learned the names of all the trees and wildflowers in the book, learned where all the countries of the world were located and what their flags looked like. He wasn't a bookworm though. He hated to read (and still does.) He didn't have a problem getting dirty, however, because he was often found outside looking for bugs under rocks and logs. His interests changed from year to year, but he was never interested in typical "boy" stuff. He is 12 now, and still doesn't care for Star Wars. He loves Indiana Jones, but doesn't "act out" the parts. He has a video camera and loves to make his own movies. The content is very "12yo boy" with lots of pretend accidents and fake blood.;) He loves riding his bike all over the place. He likes to build fires in the yard. He loves camping and hunting. (He has brought home 6 deer, a bear, and numerous grouse for our freezer over the last couple of years.) He is ALL boy. "Man" material (if you kwim). I don't believe that Star Wars, cars or action figures are an accurate measure of "boyness". :)
