  1. Ok, I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but what ever happened to getting things done the old fashioned way? How old is your DS, OP? I think if he's close to manhood, he should demand that he be respected. And getting humped it way disrespectful. To be honest, if this were happening to my son, I would tell him that the next time the bully does this he turn around and give him nice hard punch in the face.
  2. Oh, wow, I was ready to chime in about all the different flavors of tea that I like, and then I realized this is not about tea at all.....:blushing:
  3. Love Evangelina, hate Naveah or however the heck it's spelled. Seriously, if I were to meet a kid that way the first thing I would think, oh poor kids, the parents had to name her after a fad....sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but it's really what I would think.
  4. Sunshine Cleaning http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/Sunshine-Cleaning/70084157?strackid=652bd20a84b638c6_0_srl&strkid=829174124_0_0&trkid=438381
  5. I posted a comment and am a follower. I also have a homeschooling blog, it's in my siggy. You're off to a wonderful start.
  6. YEs, you are allowed. The problem is that the default system here does not save your sent messages. So you wont see them until you go to user settings and click on save copy of sent messages. I had the same issue and I thought I could not send messages either.
  7. How old is your son? Some kids are not ready to read until a later age. Especially if he's younger than 7, I would probably just lay off the direct reading instruction for a while. There have been numerous studies that have shown that some children who are taught to read before they are ready may end up hating reading down the line. On the other hand, children who experience delayed reading instruction catch up to their peers pretty quickly. I would just continue to read a lot to your son and include lots of storytelling. Good luck!
  8. Move to Miami and you'll never have to worry about summer being over. NEVER. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
  9. I love PBS, but I'm not expecting to get the books in a week. If I want something that fast, I'll pay for it. I think if you like the idea of swapping books for free than you need to realize that you're dealing with other folks like yourself that have things to do and it's not a business they are running.
  10. This is one of the reasons I am homeschooling. Kindergarten used to be for socializing and getting used to school, now if kids are not reading in Kindergarten they are already labeling them as being behind.
  11. I have a homeschooling blog because it keeps me accountable.
  12. WHHHHHAAAAAT, you did not like P&P? There must be something in your water. Ok, since I can't recommend that, I'll recommend this young adult novel....ok ok so why am I recommended kiddy lit? Because it's the one book I remember from my younger years. It's really good and bittersweet. In Lane Three,Alex Archer by Tessa Duderhttp://www.amazon.com/Lane-Three-Alex-Archer/dp/0553290207 Pan by Knut Hamsun I think this one is available online for free.
