  1. My brother and SIL, a few weeks ago, one of them posted this on the others wall and both commented on how it sounded "Just like us!". At the time I had not heard the song. However, I do know that they have a very up and down relationship. After I heard the song and saw the video, I was like . It is NOT A GOOD THING that you compare this song to your relationship!! I think it would be time to cut your losses and move on if this song speaks to you that way!!
  2. I have a 6(almost 7) and 8(almost 9) year old girls that would love to have some penpals! :001_smile::001_smile::001_smile:
  3. I have 1st and 3rd grade girls that need penpals if you haven't found anyone yet!:001_smile:
  4. Last year we just worked on creative writing and daily writing, journaling, some poetry, and touched on letter writing. We also did some "grammar" work, nouns, verbs, punctuation and such...I am looking for something that will guide us a bit more and help them both grow as writers. I am sorry for the thread jack! I should c/p that into the thread i started. :blushing:
  5. I have heard that beyond the a and b that the intensive practice workbook is very important for review.
  6. Yes I have the textbook and workbook. They've both been able to pick it up pretty easily. We go over the textbook together and then they work in the workbook. Usually a few pages a day.
  7. Is this an accurate american history text?? I know with some public school texts, they like to "PC" it. I feel like history wasn't always pretty and I am ok with teaching the pretty and the ugly if that makes any sense.
  8. Do you still purchase the textbook along with that?
  9. Do you use the workbook and the instructor text or just one or the other? I am looking into this and am seeing conflicting reviews. Some say the workbook isn't really needed as you can just use your own paper.
  10. We hated Saxon. It was just too repetitive and boring. We use Singapore now and both girls took right to it and it is working well for them.
  11. What do you do for spelling? I have used the grade level lists that I found at superteacherworksheets.com. My now first grader has been working off of the 1st grade list for about 6 months now and it is working well for her. However for my 3rd grader, she has been working off of the 4th grade list for 6 months and it is just too easy for her. I am looking for either a curriculum or just another set of lists online that will challenge her a bit more. Can anyone help me? I am also looking for a writing curriculum. Has anyone used "Writing with ease" or "Primary Language Lessons "? Thank you!!!
