  1. I found some at baby gap and my mom bought the rest probably at babies r us or other normal places like that. We didn't have to go anywhere special. That was 6 yrs ago though, so I can't remember all the details.
  2. I haven't seen if or DP, but I see Suppose a Wolf were an Octopus usually mentioned in the dame threads as DP and I think it actually has comprehension questions for a whole bunch of books. http://rainbowresource.com/product/Suppose+the+Wolf+Were+an+Octopus/027372/1259125671-642841 There are other levels of it as well sold at I think royal fireworks press. I think RR only sells the one level.
  3. Mosdos has younger stuff. I don't know how it compares. It is my plan to use it until we get to LL.
  4. I'm planning on purchasing it, but I haven't actually used it or seen it.
  5. I used Horizons K bk1 one with my ds last yr for pre k. It moves very quickly and is very advanced. I purchased Mcruffy K math and ds already knew everything in it after the first bk of Horizons K. I ended up going with Abeka 1st grade and we have really enjoyed it. It is a little slower than Horizons and the Home Curriculum guide is awesome. i think it is much better than the Horizons TM. I still have the McRuffy K math if you are interested. I never sent it back. So it is brand new and unused. Pm me if you are interested. It looks like a good program too, it just wasn't the level that we needed.
  6. Cathy Duffy's 100 top pick books is really good for that.
  7. Timberdoodle sells thinking putty that they use to help a child sit still while listening.
  8. Well I went to sleep on the sofa so that is part of the problem.
  9. I must have slept funny last night because I have an awful crick in my neck. It isn't unusual that I have little crick in the morning, but it usually goes away. This one goes from my rt ear down my neck and into the top part of my shoulder and it is hurting really badly. It hurts to move my head it is somewhat ok if I stay still. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
  10. I decided to post on this side too since it seems to move faster. Okay this is probably a dumb question, but I was wondering do you have to take a highschool Calculus course before taking an AP calculus course or do you just dive right in to the AP course? I have the same question for all AP subjects. Thanks!
  11. Yeah that is what I kept thinking? How did being quiverfull cause her daughter to be suicidal and why did that mean she needed to get divorced?

  13. I confess, if it hadn't been for the fact that dh googled game instructions on a used game we bought a while back, it would have never occurred to me either LOL
  14. Check out these instructions. http://www.ehow.com/way_5172522_ratatat-cat-instructions.html
  15. Nope definitely not like a sneeze:D I think they were just trying to say that a sneeze feels good and so does and orgasm. But my ds hates to sneeze so I can't use that analogy LOL
  16. I had to have been around 13 when I saw dogs doing it as well and I thought the same thing LOL.
  17. I forgot to say I was pretty much able to self teach math in highschool using Saxon.
  18. Well you know Saxon just came out with a geometry book. So now you can do a separate geometry if you want.
  19. Well there is Living Learning Books Level 2. I guess you could just skip the experiments if you want and just check out all the books at the library. There are a few spine books that they have, you don't have to use them though. They have lots of lists of books to check out. There are activity sheets as well. Anyway if you are just up for some reading and trips to the library, I would recommend it.
  20. If you didn't like Singapore then I'd try something else. At this point it isn't the end of the world if you switch programs. While I'm sure it is better to stick with one program for the most part, I was homeschooled 3rd-12th and we pretty much changed programs every yr and I'm really good at math so it isn't the end of the world either. I think it is more important to find a program that really clicks with you.
  21. Doran the quote in your siggy is very interesting in light of this conversation LOL
  22. Can you tell me more about this? Are there experiments every lesson? Also I can't open the sample so can you explain what a lesson would look like? Thanks!
