    Evidation.

I synch mine with my Fitbit and have gotten multiple $10 gift cards. It takes awhile, but it does work.

^^^Ditto. I've gotten cash via paypal, gift cards, and donated my reward earnings. With my fitbit, I earn points for my activity and sleep. You can also earn points for reading short articles and/or participating in surveys.

I remember being taught in Drivers Ed that it was illegal to drive without shoes on. But that was 40 years ago (yikes!)... in MD.

Me too, but it's a fallacy:

    Quote

The "Driving While Barefoot" Law: The claim is that you can be ticketed for driving barefoot. However, there is no state that regulates proper footwear for operating a motor vehicle, with the exception of Alabama, where it is prohibited to drive a motorcycle while barefoot. Several states, though, explicitly recommend, but do not mandate the use of shoes while driving.

    From https://www.edmunds.com/car-safety/traffic-ticket-urban-legends.html

This article was also interesting: Is it illegal to drive barefoot?

Did you (general audience) know there's a Society for Barefoot Living?  😄

  3. Screaming goats F.T.W. 🐐🐐 🤣

Overall I liked it, but felt like it had a hard time deciding if it wanted to be a regular Marvel movie with action and comedy or something more family friendly, especially with the kid army. In our house, 1 teen thought it was ok, 1 felt it was boring. Dh and I thought it was ok. We all definitely preferred Ragnarok.

I enjoyed the Dr. Jane Foster story and liked how that was wrapped up. My heart still belong to (King) Valkyrie. 💖

I thought she learned where the term originated.

I can't think of any new life things I learned recently but I'm learning about little known Roman emperors by listening to a humorous history podcast. Yeah, I'm nerdy that way. History podcasts are my idea of fun. I'm such a wild woman. 😂

You can't post that without sharing the name of the podcast... 🙄😋

    Concealer, foundation, lipstick.
For lipstick, I might go with Burt’s Bee tinted lip balm https://www.burtsbees.com/product/tinted-lip-balm/VM-792850894624.html

For concealer and foundation, I used Maybelline and Cover Girl as a young teen because they were affordable for starters.
Do you know who is the makeup artist for the wedding party? The person could suggest possible foundation tones and lipstick color to experiment with.
Mac and Sephora might have free makeover services. That varies by location so call the stores to verify.

I did something like this at Ulta when dd was first interested in purchasing make up. I can do something basic for myself but I wasn't up to date on all the trends or youtube videos, so this seemed like a nice compromise and a way to introduce her to the variety of products available.

That's exactly where I was looking. 🙂  We have a large section in the baking aisle with most spices/seasonings.  Others are in the "ethnic" aisle.  It was slim pickings.

Also, limes went up again.  I'm darn near sick of the price.  But I was able to get bok choy pretty cheap, so I guess it evens out.

I've found non-iodized sea salt at $0.99 Store in the past. Both fine and course.

[shortened to address this part at the end]

my gut instinct? To give my daughter a high five and then drive them the rest of the year.  DD is going to private school in the fall anyway and DS6 may wind up in a homeschool hybrid due to other issues with the district not following his IEP despite my attorney’s involvement.  But I don’t want to condone slapping people either.

Go with your gut. She was defending her brother, not instigating a fight.

Regarding the accusation of racism at the border, I have seen an explanation on Twitter about the observations that runs like this:

The border guards have to close the border from time to time for various reasons.  When they reopen they let women with children through first, then women, then men.  Men ages 18-60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine ATM (I have verified this elsewhere, and it’s true.  There is a decree about this to retain men capable of fighting in the country.). So the only men who can leave are foreigners, who are mostly students, and they are put back behind the women with children and then the women who are without children.

I only saw this in one place but it sounds quite plausible to me.

If that helps you quiet your mind at night, more power to you. For those of us who are POC, whatever.

    🤣

I made it to 2022, but then got it about 2 weeks ago. My theory is that our patient zero caught it from neighborhood kids around the first week of January (simply because he came down with a sore throat about 3 days afterwards.) It then spread to my second child. I think I wound up catching it because the 2 were sick at the time. If only one had been, then I might have escaped. We are all double vaxxed/ boosted.

Since I work out of the house, live in a highly populated hot spot, and do the grocery shopping mostly in person, I would've have thought it would've hit our home sooner.
