No dual-enrollment distinction on ours either.

Oh my I could have so written this post for my ds a couple years ago. He did Singapore Math, but that only goes through 6th grade. In 7th he did pre-algebra with Math-u-see and did great. But in 8th grade I bought Teaching Textbooks Algebra because I had heard so many good things about it. Well, it just did not work for ds and we had many tears and much frustration throughout that year. In 9th grade I decided that since we'd had so much success with Math-u-see that we'd go back to it and I'm so glad we did. He just finished geometry with them and will actually say now that he likes math and that he's good at it. Now this is not an ad for Math-u-See--I have a friend whose daughter is not enjoying the same algebra that my son loved, but maybe just a suggestion to go back to what she did like. If she was doing well in Saxon then I would consider going back to that as another poster suggested. One thing I do appreciate about Math-u-see is that there is someone else explaining the math to them. That was helpful because I am not so math-inclined :001_smile: so maybe a program similar to that or TT or a tutor would work well. Hope you find something!

Amazingly, nothing! Usually I am though. When I was here earlier I was checking the weather site because there was a storm coming through, listening to a baseball game and texting a friend. If I am on the computer downstairs I am in the middle of the family action and often am doing more than one thing. Right now, though, the kids and my husband are in bed, the house is quiet and I am too sleepy to do more than just what I am doing!

When our kids were little we did buy one of those large plastic pieces that you can buy at an office supply store that one of the other posters was talking about. As they got a little older we bought a rug from Lowes. We like it a lot more, but would be hard to clean if I had one in a high chair.

I think that is becoming more and more true. My friend just had a garage sale this weekend and had a beautiful table all set out with all sorts of books and only one of them sold. She was shocked! I know my husband and I, although we still buy and check out a lot of hard copy books, we are also using our Kindle and Nook a lot more often than we did even a year ago.

We have an IKEA opening in Denver next month, finally!! So excited, but, unfortunately, that doesn't help you very much right now!
