  1. Nope, I hate video games and lamented for a year before buying ours. We love it. (it is mostly used for watch instant netflix here, though)
  2. I don't think it is far-fetched to believe school helps build immunity. Being exposed to germs/getting sick builds immunity to germs, so it makes sense if you live in a bowl of germs (school) you'd be more immune to them. But, I'm a firm believer in not being too nit-picky clean with kids/babies, and don't use so much germ-x.
  3. I'd guess dog, too. Most dog-like (or even some other types of) animals will go for the throat for a kill.
  4. I felt that way too at your kids' ages. It does require more time and energy when you first get started. Once you are in your groove it gets much easier. (listening to young kids read wipes me out faster than anything, that was sometimes excruciating, lol)
  5. I am in the self-learning camp. My kids are encouraged to be independent, and they only need me a few minutes each day, if that. I think it is wonderful for them and me alike. Since we have gone this way, they are more excited about learning and more motivated. I am not exhausted and have more energy for the fun stuff. ETA: I have a 10 yo and 8yo twins.
  6. THe orange is very annoying, but I've watched them all, lol. I must like annoying/weird things as my new weird song I can't get out of my head is . LOL
  7. http://store.amscope.com/b100-ms.html We are VERY happy with this one. Have had it since Jan.
  8. I live option 2. I'm happy. I've never known life with a helpful man. We've been married 13 years. He does make a living, which I guess I consider helpful. Now if he just sat home all the time and didn't provide for us, that'd be a totally different story. I guess I kinda see that he is doing his job, and I'm doing mine. I make him happy, we love each other, and I have no expectations, don't nag, and if he ever decides to do something nice, it's a big deal (like every blue moon, he'll mow the yard).
