  1. It sounds like you have a decision. Go for it with Monarch! Different solutions work for different people.
  2. The whole pot thing makes me think she’s trying to shock or be the fun, cool Grandma. CBD gummies (no thc) might help her anxiety.
  3. Can you see if they’ll take it on their new online site?
  4. It sounds to me like he’s really wanting to try pickle ball with you. He’s trying to connect with you and share an experience. A more graceful way would have been to ask you for the set and a promise to try it with him. That would have been a gift. I’d be torn about your situation, because it’s really touching that he’s trying to spend time with you trying something new. The fact that he said he’d buy it again would signal to me that doing this is important to my spouse, however clumsy the delivery.
  5. Right, but, even with that, you can always tack a day or two on after the official trip to go see family.
  6. I just want to say I’ve always loved how you and your dh entertain so much. I’m sorry people don’t reciprocate your hospitality. They really should. You do a lot!
  7. We just watched A Child’s Christmas in Wales and loved it.
  8. Thank you for this. We hadn’t seen it and watched the other night. Very cute.
  9. I get the situation with the truck. My parents did the same with a sibling. Neither my other sibling nor I were offered funds, nor did we want them. The sibling truly needed that car and we had no problem with it. I had a friend who bought her parents house and they did pay less than probably what the market would have given them, and the will was adjusted to be fair to the other 5 siblings. That to me is the fair thing.
  10. People in Charlotte drive like they’re all hoping to make it in NASCAR someday. I lived there for a while and my parents and sister stayed in the area. We hated driving there when we’d go visit.
  11. If you did give money to one for a house, would you give an equal amount to the financially responsible child?
  12. We celebrate with dh’s family on Christmas Eve and then it’s just us on Christmas. We live too far from my family to see them.
  13. I would just keep walking outside. Eventually you will acclimate to the humidity. Missouri is plenty humid in the summer, I’m surprised it bothers you.
  14. First things first. You don’t mention disciplining your own kids. I hope you have taken the keys after your kid drank and drove. It would be a good long time before my kid or kids had access to a vehicle. There would probably be additional penalties for drinking underage without my permission. As far as the other kid, I might let her know that I was none too happy that her kid brought alcohol to my house and supplied it to my kids. That right there is a real problem for both of them. Legally he is an adult. That changes a lot of things.
  15. If it’s just the two of you, the fair thing is for your parents to structure their will in such a way that this amount of money is deducted from his portion of any inheritance.
  16. If you woke up with a fever, you should stay home. It takes a few days into symptoms to test positive these days. Even if it’s not Covid, it could be flu, RSV or any of myriad other viruses. It’s the courteous thing to do to stay home.
  17. I agree with so much you said here. The problem for OP is the influence the launched kid is having on the not and nearly launched. Kids look up to their older siblings and so much want to impress them that they will follow their lead.
  18. I’m so sorry you have MRSA in your house. As for the young adults, have you offered to go to counseling with dd3? She obviously has strong feelings and seems to be acting out of pain. A third party to listen to both of you and help you hear each other might help.
  19. You need to get that looked at. The orthopedic clinics near me have walkin hours. Look around for one of those. They can xray, order mri if necessary. It takes a lot less time usually. Go during the day, not after school hours and it will be really quick.
  20. I have not. It was recommended by NY Times Wirecutter.
