  1. My son did pre-Kindy, Kindergarten and started 1st grade before I pulled him from our Steiner School. I have the curriculum here and I will pull bits and pieces from there that I like, but that it is. I really have nothing pleasant to add about my local Steiner school so will leave it at that;)
  2. I'm not even sure what Hamburger Helper is:confused: I don't think we have it in Australia. Sounds nasty! ETA I googled! I would have thought with a name like hamburger helper it was something that bulked out hamburger mince but it seems no:)
  3. This is where I read about the caffeine and protein :) I don't think you are supposed to add sugar to the coffee as it counteracts the effects of the caffeine? Without sugar it certainly makes it unpalatable though:tongue_smilie: http://newideas.net/adddiet.htm
  4. Hi everyone. I think this will be my first post *waves*. I just started this the other day when I surfed the web looking for some changes for my son. I am seeing a vast difference in my son's ability to concentrate. We have only been homeschooling for a few months and we are at the 'Nope, not doing anything stage':glare: so we are yet to try it with schoolwork. Lucas focused on so many of his backyard building projects, and he stayed focused! I am only in my 3rd day so I am still trying to assess what I am seeing but hopefully will have more good news to report in coming weeks. I had asked about this on another non-homeschooling board I belong to and got a few of the following suggestions. I'm not sure we have a lot of these products in Australia but they may be helpful to you:001_smile: I am going to get some of the chocolate covered beans definitely! Beef jerky with caffiene in it Chewable caffiene pills "Clif Shots" athlete type gummy chews with electrolytes have one flavor that has enough caffiene in it to equal 2 shots of espresso Chocolate covered coffee beans I have seen no indication that the coffee is keeping my son up. I have always looked strangely at people who tell me caffeine keeps them up:D, it makes no difference to me and it doesn't seem to worry my son either. ETA I have been mixing up the brewed coffee with a chocolate protein shake and my son thinks it's disgusting but he has asked for his coffee because he likes how it makes him feel. I am going to try chilling an espresso shot and letting him take it that way, quickly and it's over with and then make him the choc protein shake.
