  1. :iagree:My basic Kenmore top loader set is 14 years old and still going strong. It's labeled "Heavy Duty" and "Super Capacity Plus," but I think most of them are. If mine broke beyond repair, I would do some research, but would definitely consider another Kenmore set.
  2. I just got rid of my Hoover FloorMate and got a steam mop (Smart Living brand, if it matters). I like my steam mop much better. My FloorMate was about 3 years old, and the new model might be better, so take this for what it's worth. The FloorMate took about 4 times longer to clean the ceramic tile in my kitchen. It was such a SLOW process and I had to push it over and over and over a spot to get it to come off. It made things a little quicker if I cleaned obvious spots on my hands and knees before using the FloorMate, but that defeated the purpose to me. The floor seemed clean (and dry) when I was done, but it literally took me an hour to do it. Mine ran on a rechargeable battery and the battery life was never long enough to do both the kitchen and the breakfast room. The steam mop cleans my tile quickly. Spots come right off, and the floor seems clean to me when I'm finished. The best part is that I can do my kitchen and breakfast room in about 15 minutes.
  3. Hi, I do play tennis! I used to play a lot and was on a team. Since I had 2 babies in 2 years, I just play for fun occasionally. I miss playing weekly with my tennis buddies! Do you play often? I love talking tennis!

  4. A couple that have not been mentioned: Restaurant August (or any John Besh restaurant) Bayona Even the nicer restaurants are fairly casual, especially in the summer. All the suggestions are yummy!
  5. My mother is a retired public school teacher. She is mostly supportive because she knows that public schools have many problems. She says that by the end of her 37+ years of teaching, little was actually learned and everything was an administrative nightmare. She does jump on the "socialization" bandwagon occasionally, though.
  6. We do pretty much what everyone has already listed: Scrambled eggs, often with turkey and cheese Boiled eggs Whole wheat toast Whole wheat pancakes/waffles, often with blueberries Grits (yep, we're southerners!) Oatmeal with cinnamon Yogurt and fruit Biscuits Bagels and cream cheese I usually include fresh fruit at breakfast. Strawberries, blueberries and frozen grapes are favorites here.
  7. No way! I don't like coffee enough to drink anything other than freshly brewed. DH on the other hand would definitely drink it.
  8. :iagree: It seems wrong for a pastor to bring this up as a condition of reinstatement.
  9. I floss daily. My teeth feel so much better than when I flossed randomly. My gums appear healthier to my dentist and have not bled in years.
  10. Testing. Just trying a reply---
