  1. I am going to be using CLE math and LA6 this year and was wondering if the teacher's guides were necessary? Thanks :)
  2. Does anyone know of a science curriculum that covers renewable/non-renewable resources and sustainability? Thanks!
  3. We are loving Math Mammoth, but I find that my son forgets concepts and would benefit from a daily review. I work PT outside the home so using the suggestions in Math Mammoth seem a bit daunting. Is there a program that has a daily spiral review that would complement this program well?
  4. Another vote for Moving Beyond the Page. It's completely open and go and so easy to use.
  5. Thanks so much for all your responses! I will definitely get the TM and hopefully find it used! :)
  6. I am going to be using BJU Science 5 this year and I am new to this curriculum. Is the teachers manual important to have? How helpful is it? Also, would purchasing a science kit for the curriculum help as well? Thanks so much :)
  7. Thank-you so much for the replies.:) I was leaning toward Singapore or Math Mammoth but wanted to make sure I was on the right track. My older children are both classical musicians pursuing music degrees so having a math/science lover is an exciting new adventure. I just want to make sure he has all the tools needed for his future success. Thanks again!!
  8. My DS8 is a science fanatic and wants to be a scientist when he grows up. I want to make sure he has a solid foundation in math to support his science focus but not sure which math program would be the best. We have done a mixture up until now. Thanks:)
  9. We are in the exact same boat here as well. My daughter hates BJU Literature grade 9. I would also love to know if there are any samples of the SF to view.
  10. My ds(7) is a science lover and wants to do a unit on earth and space science (loves volcanoes the most). He likes things in depth and he loves to know all the facts and how things work etc. I have never had a science kid before so I want to nurtue this love and satisfy his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks:)
  11. Ever since we had some bumps on our marriage, I have really enjoyed getting my dh input on what I wear. I have gone out of my comfort zone a bit ( don't worry no hooker clothes LOL!!) and I feel good and I like knowing it makes him happy! I get a say in his wardrobe too. We figure impressing each other will keep the sparks flying.;)
  12. :grouphug: I am sorry you and your dd have to deal with this again. I know how horrible the process is! I was told after my daughter had it to have her wash her hair in tea tree oil shampoo because lice hate it. I don't know of it works but we used it for a couple of years.
  13. My ds(almost 18) and dd(13) have never wanted to go to school. I actually threaten to send them to get them to get school work done! We live in the country and I guess seeing the bus pick up the kids at 7:15 every morning is a deterrent as well as the worry they would have less time for music and free time. I still have 2 more though starting the journey so who knows how they will feel.
  14. Praying for you and your family.:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
