  1. Hi, This may not win me as mother of the year, but I would reverse the lock on that door. We did that for my youngest once we realized that, not only could she climb out of the crib, but she could overcome the child safe doorknob, AND would go downstairs and help herself to snacks. Its not the food. I don't want to get that thread restarted! She is a total flight risk. So, we lock the door so she won't leave the house while we are sleeping. Hope that helps! LMK
  2. Thanks! I am actually looking for larger onesies right now. She is tall, so finding her size is difficult. We were doing PJs backward during the winter and that worked great. I was hoping that she had outgrown this phase but her "activities" have picked up this week. Thus the need for the carpet cleaner. Sigh, she has totally reinvented my parenting wheel! In the meanwhile, I will check out the VAX. I haven't heard of that brand, so off to google! LMK
  3. Hi Everyone, I am in need of a carpet cleaner. LOL, I tried to type "shampooer" but it totally looks wrong. But, you get the idea. I have a great vacuum (Dyson) and have a little spot cleaner. However, I now need something that will cover a larger area (entire rooms). I want something easy to use and easy to clean. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how to get my 2.5 yr old from stripping off her diaper (excluding duct tape, really, I have to draw the line somewhere!) then those are welcome too! :bigear: Thanks in advance! LMK PS For those ready to suggest potty training...yes, we are on it. This is for diaper stripping at night and during nap times.
  4. Never mind! I just figured out that it would not work for us. I looked more closely at some of the preview pages on Amazon and it won't be a good fit for us. Thanks anyway! LMK
  5. Thank You! I was able to save the files to my computer. That takes a load off my mind. I ended up printing out the tests anyway, but we don't do every student page, so I didn't want to do that. You've saved me a ton of ink and worry! ;) Thanks again! LMK
  6. Hi, I have a quick question. I just purchased SOTW PDFs for the tests and student pages. It says I have 5 Downloads. But I am confused. Once I click on it, the page opens, but is there a way to save it to my computer? I was not planning on printing all the pages at once. I was also planning on printing out the tests/SPs for later kids during their 4 yr rotation. I really do not want to print it all out to keep the hard copy in a file. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something else I need to do? I still have them open on my computer, just so I don't lose them. Advice please! Thanks! LMK
  7. Hi! You guys are the best! This is exactly the type of info I was hoping to get! I love the donna young site, I will have to check out that link. Thanks so much! Now...off to create my list! :auto: LMK
  8. Hi Everyone! In the interest of being more organized, I am trying to come up with a list of things that should be done routinely to maintain the house. I am not talking about weekly cleaning type of stuff, more like: change the air filters in the central air (how often), service the a/c, service the heat, clean the back of the fridge, that type of stuff. What kinds of things do you do for home maintenance? Thanks! :bigear: LMK PS: I am signing off but will check back later!
  9. Hi, I have 2007 Honda minivan. Besides the horrible GPS, its only other major flaw was that it didn't have an AUX input. I complained and complained (I have a TON of stuff on mp3 that is great for long drives) and finally, this week, my DH got one installed in my car. Sorry, no details about price or what it is exactly. It is just an on/off button with an input spot for the wire, and the radio has to be on a certain station for it to work. It is placed on the dash near the radio but is not part of the radio itself (he kept the original). I love having it..BUT..it has totally affected the radio reception. Stations that used to be clear are a bit off and stations that were just a bit off are completely fuzzy now. So, tread carefully. I guess if you changed the whole system out for one with AUX integrated, then reception shouldn't be an issue. Hope this helps! Best of luck! LMK
  10. Thank You! This sounds like a great idea. I was hoping to avoid writing things down, and having them write it out works just as well! My initial plan was to have them write out the tables multiple times until it finally sunk in. This would be torture for my oldest who despises writing. The next would be ok with this but might balk if she noticed the older complaining (which, believe me, she would!). Thanks again! :) LMK
  11. Hi Everyone! I have finally decided to buckle down and get the kids to really solidify some math facts. We have tried a variety of methods: flash cards, computer games, reciting etc. These have provided some success, but still math facts plague us. So, I want to go the old fashioned route and have them copy them into oblivion. The only problem I am having is that I can't find any math charts online that are just the math facts individually rather than in a chart form. Meaning: 1+1=2, 1+2=3 etc. Yes, I could write these out and will go that route if I have no other choice (but can you tell that I REALLY don't want to?!). Does anyone have a link? I am looking for addition/subtraction/muliplication/division. Thanks in Advance! :001_smile: LMK PS I am heading out and will check back in later. Thanks!
  12. Hi, Just found this link that I thought you all would be interested in. It lists what percentage of alcohol still remains after cooking. Hope this helps! http://www.ochef.com/165.htm LMK
  13. Hi, I just wanted to pop in and offer a :grouphug:! Cdiff is no fun. I have never had it but I am a nurse so I have plenty of experience dealing with the aftermath. Here is a link from the CDC that will give you some more information: http://www.cdc.gov/hai/organisms/cdiff/Cdiff-patient.html What you need to know is that alcohol based sanitizers DO NOT kill cdiff. You must use good hand washing with soap and water to clean your hands. Personally, I would ask FIL to take a break from any help that involves food prep or handling, including emptying the dishwasher. His hand washing may not be up to snuff and you definitely don't want that on your dishes. Best of luck! More :grouphug:!!! LMK
