  1. We were there last year in March and it was closer to Easter and the crowds were quite manageable. Saturdays are probably going to be busier with the Mardi Gras concerts.
  2. I think there are options for plans for most theme parks in Orlando if you don't want to do the research yourself. I always have a plan, at least in the back of my mind. Not so much for Legoland, but definitely for Universal and Disney. I know what needs to be ridden at opening/rope drop and what can wait, as well as what a reasonable wait time is for that ride and for my family. Some things, I will ride now if the wait says 5 or 10 minutes even if it isn't my plan, other things always say that.
  3. I know a couple of kids who go to French Woods and love it.
  4. I had a bible that stopped in the middle of one book and skipped to the middle of another.
  5. I bought it with a credit card, many places use Paypal to handle transactions.
  6. I found that age range no better or worse than any other. I had social ups and downs, but it wasn't awful nor was I particularly popular.
  7. If you want to move through it quickly, you can't go too deep.
  8. There is no reason to get a fastpass for a parade or fireworks in my opinion. I have heard that they don't put you in the best viewing places. There really isn't seating, everyone will stand up once the parade or fireworks start. If you are going to WDW, the fireworks are best viewed on Main Street and it is basically a mass of people. People line the parade route.
  9. Disney parks closing isn't a hard close, where everything shuts down and they want you out at that time. The stores near the entrance will still be open after Illuminations/Wishes and the longer you wait to actually get out of the park, the faster you can get on the outgoing transportation.
  10. Might have been Nightmare on Elm Street 4. His car was in the shop, so my mother drove us. Date movies prior to that weren't seen because we weren't actually going to the movies.
  11. We have sunflower because DH likes yellow, lapis because I thought it looks nice with sunflower, turquoise and sage because I like those colors, and DS picked paprika and plum.
  12. I have done it two ways. We used to do history once a week, read the whole chapter, narrate one or more sections, do map work and maybe color and projects. Now, we read one section a day and he narrates or answers questions. We do the map work when we finish a chapter. We have always added in extra books, but he reads them almost all to himself now. We have added in extra American history this year and will add in state history with book 4 next year.
  13. Dh works the same schedule every week, but he works some days and some nights. The child and I keep a normal schedule and we do most school during the day while dh is asleep or at work, dh has trouble not interrupting school. We take dh's days off as our days off.
  14. You are still missing the real central Florida, check out Kissimmee State Park and other inland state parks.
  15. Used to be able to do that at skating rinks, arcades, and bowling alleys
  16. I have wanted to see this since I read they would be doing it, thank you for posting it.
  17. My husband got his loans out of default through consolidation. He had to make a few payments (the federal student loan website says three) and then his loans were consolidated into a new loan which is treated like any other, with the option to change payment plans or use deferral and forbearance. Everyone getting student loans should be fully informed about payment plans and deferral and forbearance so that they don't go into default.
  18. I find when I have less than 3 everyday bottoms, I end up with none to wear pretty often so I would have to have another pair of pants.
  19. My husband recommends it. He listened to the audio book, I think several times. It still took him quite a while and eventually Chantix to really quit, but it really helped him see the whole thing differently and was important in his quitting process.
  20. Your daughter is young enough that you need to be with her every step of the way and explaining that this is the space for this category (books or stuffed animals or whatever) and there is not room for more. If more are acquired, that amount of space needs to be cleared in that storage category. I don't think the Konmari method is really helpful for decluttering other people's belongings, but there is no reason you need to have the physical book as opposed to the e-book.
  21. I don't know if making them acquaintances will do what you want. I click on the arrow at the top of the post and choose Hide All from whoever the original poster was.
  22. My 8 year old has always wanted to own a business, that's what he said at 4. He now also wants to make computer games.
