My friend rented the Baby Jogger City Mini from one of the stroller rental places for her child that age with autism at Disney. You can request stroller as wheelchair when you get your DAS. My son loves his Keen Newport H2 and won't wear anything else, other kids wear flip flops which aren't really great for walking.

Looking for encouraging stories: late-blooming boys
HelenNotOfTroy replied to marbel's topic in The Chat Board
My younger brother finished community college and didn't go on to a four year school right away. He found a career that was experience based rather than formal education based and pursued it for more than a decade. He has since completed both a bachelors and masters in another field and is thriving in a new career. -
My husband works 14 hour night shifts now. Until a year ago, he worked both those and day shifts every week, so this is easier. We keep regular hours and try not be noisy, which can be difficult because we have a small house. School usually happens while DH is sleeping.

It really depends on the size. I will never shop at Dillard's for a bra again, what they had in my size was not good quality. A really good lingerie/bra store is a great resource. If she needs a band size under 34 and/or a cup size over DD, Ewa Michalak, Panache/Cleo, Freya, Fantasie, and Curvy Kate are all good brands, but the sizing is different than with American companies.

I require yearly swimming lessons (2 weeks in the summer) and we go to church. At 7, that was all he did. In fact, we didn't start any other outside the home activities until 9 other than occasionally and irregularly, except for park days.

Duke's is what we started using when we gave up sugar the first time and just kept using it. Regular mayonnaise doesn't have a significant amount of sugar in it, but things like Miracle Whip and low-fat mayo do.

Elementary History & Encouragement
HelenNotOfTroy replied to mschroeder7216's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
I haven't used TOG, but I would imagine someone has a day by day lesson breakdown for it. I don't do Bible, we just use SOTW and do whatever extra stuff from the activity guide sounds good. My 10 year old doesn't remember anything from the first two years of history, so I figure just do what is interesting and fun for your family for elementary content areas. -
What's in you secular morning basket?
HelenNotOfTroy replied to Runningmom80's topic in General Education Discussion Board
We have changed things over the years, but we have used poetry, fairy tales, myths, novels, picture books, various nonfiction, and now SOTW. -
I just look for good recipes, like from http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/ and https://www.ditchthecarbs.com, and eat protein and vegetables for every meal.

WWS Scope & Sequence
HelenNotOfTroy replied to nansk's topic in Logic Stage & Middle Grade Challenges
Or maybe you mean the information that is in the beginning of the level, like this? http://www.welltrainedmind.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/WWS.InstructorSmallSample.pdf and http://downloads.peacehillpress.com/pdfs/samples/wws/WritingWithSkill_2_Instructor1through10andappendices.pdf -

Grammar question for 5th graders
HelenNotOfTroy replied to EmmaNZ's topic in General Education Discussion Board
My 10 year old was able to tell me verbally, I don't know if he would be able to write something under testing conditions. We haven't covered it in grammar yet. -
I have one. I would have liked to have had more, at least in theory, but secondary infertility took care of that. We don't have the space or money to do anything about that or to adopt. I think a cutoff age for having babies is very personal, I would be happy to find myself pregnant even now in perimenopause.

This site recommends particular supplies in each category, I found it during my hurricane prep process. http://thesweethome.com/reviews/emergency-preparedness/ I have no idea what makes sense for your situation, I have only had to deal with hurricanes, ice/snow storms, and shorter term issues like tornadoes and thunderstorms (not all living in the same state).

Someone Congratulate Me on Being Pregnant

I have used Healthonelabs.com, they use Quest in my area.

I have a skin condition that makes my skin sensitive and requires prescription products. I use Cerave hydrating cleanser and their moisturizer and another brand's sunscreen every single day. I find most sunscreens irritating or drying and use alba botanica very emollient mineral sunscreen in the winter, but have several I use in the summer depending on what I'm doing and how much time I will be in the sun. On a good day, I also use Timeless C + E + Ferulic acid serum and in the winter, I sometimes use Paula's Choice Resist super antioxidant serum, but only at night.

Is anyone part of a Wild and Free group?
HelenNotOfTroy replied to staceyobu's topic in The Chat Board
https://www.bewildandfree.org/ I found a local group, but they haven't scheduled anything since I found them. -
Congrats! She's a cutie.

The biggest problem I had with having a car on campus was finding parking places.

I don't know if they'll sign the shirt he's wearing, but that's a fun idea. If you get him a birthday button, everyone will say happy birthday to him. A cast member sweeping the sidewalk sang happy birthday to me the day I wore one. The aquarium is at the exit from the Nemo ride. If you don't want to ride, you can just go in the store at the exit.

The two rides in World Showcase are in countries right next to each other at either the beginning or the end. And the Norway ride is now Frozen themed and always has a pretty long wait.
