  1. And he's positive. CRAP. Options are: crack his bedroom window, use fan pointed at window and block bottom of his bedroom door, use plastic sheeting to try to block his room from air intake to AC. (not having AC is not an option...heat stroke would be a risk). Or a friend's mom died recently and her house is empty, furnished. He can go stay there. It is safer for the rest of us if he does, but at that same time I don't love him staying by himself if he's sick. (congestion, som fatigue, no sense of smell) Edit - nevre mind, there is no internet there, and I'm not condemning him to 10 days isolation with no internet.
  2. ACK!!! Clicking on the link to the at home Covid test jinxed me! 30 minutes later my son texted from his room that he woke up with no sense of smell! Just ran to two pharmacies to find a kit - they are selling out as fast as they get them in, and our local drive up testing reported yesterday they are so busy they are having to close early each day as they are running out of tests. Waiting on results now. (this is oldest - he was on a plane last few days and got stuck overnight sleeping in the airport on connecting flight in NC)
  3. I'll probably get a kit, but we do have free rapid testing here, drive up, from the county. It's about 25 minutes from me, but in the Orlando area that's typical for anything. I'm glad these are available - we may do these before family get togethers, as my mom has COPD and is high risk. And my sister has a child with medical anxiety, so this would be good to have for her. I do worry that with a lot of those out there our case numbers are even more under represented, if a lot of people are getting positives and not reporting them.
  4. ok, I'm not sure that the hotel is for Covid positive, since it said the border patrol was quarantining people and then releasing them. But yeah, when I say I want everyone to get vaccinated, I'm including immigrants. I have not seen a "don't vaccinate undocumented immigants" sign or rally, nor an exception for them when talking about everyone should get vaccinated. Also, y'all, stop eating indoors!!! And if you want people who are sick to mask, you have to have mask mandates!
  5. The ones I've known to say it have not had covid. And I've said many times that proof of antibodies within a certain time span should be as acceptable as proof of vaccination. You can come to Florida, where is is now illegal to require vaccination. Mind you, our hospitals are filling up, people are dying, etc...but hey! FREEDOM!!!!!! But that's only if you mean covid vaccines....our schools certainly require OTHER vaccines - just got an email reminding me that all 7th graders need a Tdap booster in fact. Mind you my kids are not in public school and I don't have a 7th grader anyway, but they are making a big push about this for th public good. Also sending emails that masks are optional, cause freedom. Not sure why freedom doesn't apply to Tdap vaccine, or why masks don't apply to public good....so yeah.
  6. If all are vaccinated my big concern would be how badly things are in the places you are going. I wouldn't want to travel to an area where they are in crisis, hospitals are overwhelmed etc. Not even because of the risk of catching covid, but because if someone has an accident or other illness and needs medical care. Honestly, as someone living in an area starting to reach that point again, I don't want extra people here, using up medical resources. So keep an eye on the places you are going. But if you are vaccinated and things are under control where you are going and you have good access to medical care where you are going and none of you have reason to be at higher risk if you do catch it....then I think you can go. should you go? Hard to say at this point.

A friend on facebook says her friends working in the central Florida hospitals are saying it is as bad as at our previous peak.
  8. A friend of my mom posted this, from a friend of hers who works at a hospital in Palm Beach County. this delta variant is scarey. We had 27 or 28 positive covids in the ER yesterday between 7a and 7p. Several admitted with covid pneumonia. Patients are younger and younger. Even children. This, as I have said before, is no joke. It's the unvaccinated that are getting it bad. I think only 2 yesterday were vaccinated and positive. This is only the beginning of what could potentially be a very bad outcome for so many. Please people, get the vaccine! The healthcare community is exhausted. I would say, if you are in a setting, with lots of people, wear the damned mask! We have to wear it 12 hours a day at work! I think it wont kill you, but covid might.
  9. ugh, until someone said it, I hadn't thought about how ick it is that someone won't take the risk of the vaccine to support the public health, but will take the risk of the vaccine in order to go on a cruise. That's...disheartening. I've heard a few people give cruises as a reason to vaccinate, and now I'm going to think of it that way. Ugh.
  10. My mom's friend just posted this - Jupiter is a city in northern Palm Beach County, Florida. Where I grew up - Jupiter and Juno were where the beaches were, so about 10-15 minutes from my house. "This is from a friend who works at Jupiter Medical ER. This is not media!, ...This delta variant is scarey. 11. I had an office visit today (very 3 months for med checks) and was very surprised and very happy to see a sign on the office door saying that EVERYONE is required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, and if you are not wearing one you will be made to leave. that is the ONLY place I've seen anything like that. Everywhere else has big signs saying you don't have to mask if you are vaccinated (and of course no one actually checks). My church sent out a notice reminding people that only vaccinated people can be maskless...but that was on the same day they sent another email about needing sunday school volunteers, and reminded people that kids can mask but don't have to. I don't understand how they don't get that ALL under 12 kids are unvaccinated, and therefore according to their own rules, should be masked!
  12. This seems to fit here best.
  13. But the vaccinated are less than half as likely to get Covid and be in incubator. That cuts the chances. That's important.

And specific to the Disney area - they are in "crisis mode". https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/26/politics/florida-jerry-demings-covid-warning-amusement-parks/index.html

We are not going to let anyone out Florida us! MO doesn't stand a chance! (wait..no....this isn't that kind of competition...sigh)
  17. When I think of it, lol. I know at least one year it wasn't until January or Feb...oops. I do med checks now every 3 months, so at one of those. I have one today, next would be October I guess, so probably at that visit. Oh, I remember...it was last year I did January, because they only did virtual visits last October. No flu shot at a virtual visit, lol. So I did it at my next one, which was in person. I could have done at a pharmacy, but didn't seem smart to hang out in an area with sick people to get it when I was hardly leaving the house anyway - grocery delivery, drive through pharmacy, etc. And masking and sanitizing when I did leave the house. I didn't do the kids last year as they went no where to pick up the flu, and they would have had to go into the pediatrician's office, which was treating respiratory infections, to get it. That equation made no sense. Once they are vaccinated for Covid I'll look at flu vaccine for them, since they will then be out in public again.
  18. And I'm till stuck reconciling the idea that satisfaction is linked to size of male anatomy, when lesbians have better satisfaction.
  19. Oh Well...maybe her father doesn't need to know that part, lol? Or send at least one package priority mail, so he can arrange for pick up?
  20. Ooh, locking mailbox is a great idea! Quickly found this one on amazon https://amzn.to/3i4jZNc It's $112 but might be worth not dealing with the hassel! As for weighing stuff, you can weigh mail on a kitchen scale and print postage. You can do it via USPS website or stamps.com but it's a huge PIA compared to using the website pirateship. (trust me, I've tried a bunch, lol) You can also get labels to print if doing it alot, that are basically sticker paper, or just print on regular paper and tape on. I've done both. https://www.pirateship.com/
  21. All true. And maybe men and women should see that list of what makes for better encounters, and that penetration is not the end all be all for many women.
  22. But that doesn't fix the issue of her advocating for herself, you know? Like, if I like my coffee with two creams and no sugar, but I don't tell my husband that, its not his fault if he makes it a way I don't like. Sure, I can find other men and hope one guesses how I like my coffee, or I could just tell my husband what I want. Seems that answer makes more sense. Now, if the husband is unwilling to do what the wife needs, that's different but again, that sems like an issue that is global, not just n bed.
  23. Another reason I'll mention for not hitting climax, can be sensory issues. I have SPD, and sometimes if I'm over stimulated from other stuff, I go right from "that's nice" to "too much, stop touching". This is not a compatibility problem as the same thing can happen solo, lol. It's totally a sensory processing thing.
  24. I don't know, but I don't think we can blame the partner for a woman's expectations, you know? And switching partners won't fix that problem, unless maybe she switches to women?

Littles might be vaccinated by then...that's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping that before Christmas we will all be fully vaccinated, and things might be better....but I'm not counting on it. I'll be more willing to do things, but a large percentage of Floridians are intent on learning the hard way or weeding themselves out, taking some of the rest of us with them.
