Hi all, Just thought I'd introduce myself since I'm a new-bee. (I know, I'm sad.) My name Crista. I've been married for just shy of 15 years and have three kids: a 10yo daughter and 7 and 6yo sons. We've homeschooled them all from the start. My husband is a community college teacher (humanities, religious studies, logic, English). We're praying he can keep his job because the state isn't paying its bills and he isn't up for tenure until next year. We'll be chewing our nails to the knuckles until then. So.... hi!

I'm right there with ya. I hate it, too. I don't think I'd survive living in a culture where they haggle over everything.

Just what I need. Something else fun to do rather than cleaning, cooking, running...

I haven't, myself, but some of the ladies in my local co-op do. From what I understand, if it's generally the type of food you eat, it's a good program. The food is apparently good quality.

I haven't done it myself (I detest painting), but a friend of mine did. She painted a normal-size room a beautiful Kelly green... and it made it feel like a shoebox. I would keep two or three walls a light color (evn if it's a lighter shade of the same color) and only do only one or two a dark/bold/stronger color.

I completely agree. I don't even have our kids' names on our answering machine, much less plastered on the back of the van. *shudder*
