  1. thank you so much. Do you think I should start things now with my credit card company? would you give BWOTF more time?
  2. what did you send them to prove you were a homeschooler....something from the school district? like the confirmation letter that you are homeschooling? I didn't want to go to the trouble of setting up the account but maybe I'll have to.
  3. Ok, still haven't heard ANYTHING from them and it has been 14 days since I put my order in and they charged my credit card. I have left messages, email........so I called again today telling them that I need to hear from them or I am considering calling my cc and disputing the charge! I will never order from them again. I will never recommend them to any of my homeschool friends. I'm really not hard to please but I think doing business this way is ridiculous!
  4. thanks Rebecca........still no email from them. ugh!!
  5. Hey all. I put in an order for the Foerster's Algebra 1 solutions manual to this business and although they have charged my cc, I have not gotten any information on my order. I don't even know if my order went through! I placed the order on Sept 9 and cc was charged on the 10th. No email, no return of my calls, nothing. I did send out an email today regarding this so we'll see if I get anything back (I'm not expecting an answer) but anyone here know what's going on with them?? Her first test is this week so I really wanted to be able to grade it right away.
  6. is the whole list in the TM somewhere? I read somewhere that there is a CD with a list on it but I didn't buy the CD. Do I have to go lesson by lesson?
  7. I have all the books for 9th Grade BJU Science and some of the "materials needed" lists are easy....ie. bleach or baking soda, etc. But obviously there are lots of things I don't have like glasses, microscope, some chemicals. Anyone out there use BJU Science for high school? Can you just find some of the things locally? Should I buy a standard microscope since I'm going to be doing science for at least 9th and 10th grade? Obviously I need some help.:001_smile:
  8. My friend says that she can let me borrow the "excellence in literature" for American and British. (Is that the same company that has "windows to the world"?) I'm thinking of doing some from each book so she gets a little of both and if I homeschool for 10th, I could use what's left. I'm really excited about "the least you should know about english".....it looks more our speed. But as far as writing papers and such for the literature, are these the only books we'll need?
  9. Hi all, new here but not new to homeschooling. I homeschooled for eight years, my oldest child was in seventh/youngest 2nd. They have been in private school for a few years. Now my second child, who is going into 9th, is going to be homeschooled. So I'm researching, researching. I'm now onto English/Lit. :) They used Abeka last year and they also use that for 9th grade at that school. I'm not really into Abeka as far as the literature end goes. It's great for grammar/writing reports but I asked her what "real" books she read this past year....she said none. They all read shortened versions of books/stories in Abeka's books. I think I want to do something different. I was looking at BJU Press or maybe Abeka grammar/writing book and reading our own books....classic good stories mostly. I don't know.......anyone have any ideas? I will tell you, I like the structure of Abeka/BJU as far as telling you what to do everyday. I'm not an organizer. It's not my strength at all so I need to consider that. Thanks for your help. :)
