  1. That's interesting. Did you have any other allergy symptoms?
  2. Thanks. I think that may be what I have. I'll have to go check. So, I guess I'd better cut out the afternoon coffee and try to get to bed early for a bit. Oh my! That must have been disconcerting. I'm glad it went away. This can be seen when looking at me, but it does not seem to correlate to my heartbeat.
  3. Do you know if any caffeine is still okay? I am afraid that this is a contributing factor. I seem to be increasingly sensitive to caffeine later in the day, which makes me sleep poorly, which is probably causing my eye to twitch….
  4. Bananas have worked for me in the past too. They haven't seemed to make a difference this time. A baked potato does sound pretty good though!
  5. A year? Poor girl. I can't imagine this going on for that long. How strange that it stopped when she changed gyms. In order to change gyms, I'd have to actually start going to one! Thanks for the ice tip, I may have to try it.
  6. You're welcome. If you go, have a tomato for me!
  7. That's strange. It has been probably five weeks for me too. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. :(
  8. I've had a few okay nights of sleep, but it hasn't gone away.
  9. It didn't seem quite right to like this post given how incredibly annoying the twitching is! So, thank you for sharing!
  10. That's what I had read. It was one of those things that took a while to get used to using. Once I was used to it it wasn't too annoying, but it was very easy to get out of the habit.
  11. It was really amazing! Sigh. I don't think I've had a *really* good tomato since we've left NJ.
  12. Yeah, the only thing I could find about it said that it is most likely caused by stress and fatigue. Both present, and both hard to change!
  13. Is there a certain type that you recommend? I know I have some magnesium oil…that I have not been applying. :o I think I also have an oral supplement that I could take.
  14. I know this doesn't help your tomato craving now, but if you ever get a chance to go to the Rutgers Tomato Festival it is amazing! http://events.rutgers.edu/njaes/event.asp?id=17403&d=201304&u=all&c=00
  15. Has anyone had this problem? One of my eyes has been twitching for several weeks. (It has been off and on, but mostly on.) It is usually below the eye, but sometimes the upper eyelid. It is driving me crazy and I just want it to stop. TIA!
  16. There were pictures of this on the blog.
  17. So, are only smaller turtles a risk for salmonella?
  18. Yes. According to their website, the target audience is 6th-9th grade students. We have it, and have completed about half of it. I can't say exactly how long that has taken us because we started it in the midst of a move. About halfway through the program I decided to take a break from it to focus on some other things. There are 30 lessons of varying lengths. I think it would be possible to complete the program in one semester. The author is the principal of a Christian school. I would definitely say that it is not secular, but there isn't any proselytizing in it either. (In the back there is a list of poems organized by category. The categories listed are: poems that tell a story, poems about nature, poems that describe something, poems about love, poems about history, poems about God, poems that are humorous, and poems that teach. In glancing through it quickly, there are a few lessons that use hymns or Christian poems. ETA: I just looked at the back of the book and it says that it is designed to be used for one semester. :)
  19. FYI: It looks like the Old Western Culture programs go on sale at Homeschool Buyers Coop on 4/27. https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/old-western-culture/?c=1
  20. Just to make sure I understand what you meant, did you mean that you wouldn't try to do these two programs at the same time, or just not to combine them by using the things from LL for the LToW assignments? Thanks!
  21. Thanks! The school name requirement made me pause, but it didn't look like the public version was very in depth.
  22. Thanks! I had looked at the website, but I guess I didn't read it closely enough to see that the tutorial will be using the DVDs. I'll go take another look.
