  1. Pizza herbs, Justice, Various poultry blends,
  2. Food pantries/banks will help you cut down on grocery expenses. Don't make the mistake of being too embarrassed to use them. We had to use them in 2020 due to pandemic-related loss of income. You are not alone. Along with the food pantry, there are other resources to help with medical bills, dentist clinic, utilities, etc.
  3. Holiday Inn Flubber Step Dogs Gus (w/ Don Knotts) The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (Don Knotts)
  4. You have to have a minimum of 50 posts before you can sell here. There is a sub-forum that is dedicated to selling.
  5. Ditto. I recently had an in-hospital overnight at the sleep clinic. I felt totally safe. Our local hospital is taking every precaution.
  6. I had this as well. Stage 1A endometrial cancer. I had a hysterectomy and oopherectomy (ovaries); didn't need radiation or chemo. I'm fine now. Re biopsy: do it under anesthesia! (actually, conscious sedation)
  7. Plus ... this is a horrible time for the kids who are in performing arts...
  8. This is what I wish DS would do. He's applied to several state schools as well and he wants to major in musical theatre! He's nowhere near ready to take on the challenges of college. We shall see.
  9. We've been hit hard economically in 2020. My spouse lost a couple of thousand dollars of monthly income. We're behind on utility bills, credit card bills, have huge medical bills, and have been frequenting our local food bank. A friend who did well in the stock market gifted us $15K. We in turn were able to help a shut-in friend with $50.
  10. The kids are on a hybrid schedule - 2 days at school and 3 days virtual. The class stuff gets handled in person. DS is in a quartet and they are preparing to sing madrigals outside, at a drive through performance.
  11. I don't know, but I've seen the result and it's perfect. Here's a random example: zoom chorus
  12. Our high school senior is trending toward musical theater. He Had a major role in the high school production of Fiddler on the Roof, but covid scuttled that opportunity when schools shut down. He's back in school using a hybrid model, though rumor has it that schools might shut down again. He's in the concert choir (meeting via zoom), singing tenor in the community chorus (again via zoom), and possibly participating in the chorale from where we used to live. (Again, zoom) He is also a talented jazz drummer. At any rate, he has signed up for an interview and audition (zoom) at our local college. In town kids get a scholarship for half tuition. It's not his first choice, but would be a good back up school.
  13. Cat litter - don't ever want to run out of that Friends I'm trying to decide if it's significant that I put cat litter first...
  14. Pay day was towards the end of October. Next one isn't until Nov. 25th. It's Nov.1st and we've spent $300 on groceries. We also have a car repair bill coming due, urgently need to buy new tires, and lots of medical bills. Thankfully, we have a well-stocked pantry and I think we can get through until then with only replacing necessary items on an as needed basis. We usually spend $1,000 a month on groceries and have needed to cut back for a long time.
  15. Big bills this month: car repair $500 deductible, new tires desperately needed, medical bills (always with us), big utility bills, and something I seem to be blocking. Grocery shopping limited to one shopping trip to Aldi's, sale items at our local grocery outlet, sale items at our chain grocery store. Hoping to hold groceries down to $200-300 for the next month (we keep a stocked pantry).
  16. prayers for your DH (and you)
  17. Have known the term for years and used it in conversation. Have lived in: PA, MA, NYC, DC, and NC.
  18. prayers for mom and baby. I thought I'd read somewhere about flight change fees being waived as well. Or maybe it was a newscast.
  19. Cat - Travel Johns! That's the item that women or men can pee into (single use, though, so you need several of them). They work really well. I have used it in a moving car, in the front seat, half kneeling on the floor of the car, while praying that my dear driver didn't hit a pothole. Oh yeah. In rush hour traffic. You can buy them in the camping section of Walmart or maybe Target, but you can also get them at Amazon. Travel Johns
  20. Too many bills, too little money! We're down about $2K in monthly income and will be for the foreseeable future. + Medical bills. DS is applying to colleges.
