  1. Have you looked into Veritas Press time line cards? They teach history from a bibical time line approach. My children love it. The back of the card give additional reading and scripture. My children love to put the events in order. I use it along with SOTW. There is a website call Paula's Achieves that combines the two programs. Peace, Amy 11, 8, 6, 2 ds and 4 dd
  2. The first 30-40 lessons are review. I always do 2-3 lessons a day until we get to a point where it is new material.
  3. I really enjoyed Karen Foli's book too. It explained so much about my child. We are looking into Barton for him. I don't think that he is need a LiPS. Happy Homeschooling! Amy
  4. Instead of trying to stay where PS is, we continue to school all year long. So if there isn't something that they got during August-May, we just keep on going. We take breaks when it is necessary. My dc are happier when they are doing what they do every day...homeschooling. They don't know what to do with out structure.
  5. We love Five in a Row!! It has been so much fun to dig deeper into each story. We also use a lot of resources at homeschoolshare.com. My children love math and we use Saxon. I know there are a lot of other "fun" or more "colorful" programs out there, but they love to count on that number board! On the other side, we hate Learning Language Arts through Literature. For us it was disjointed and weak. I also hate a lot of the Evan Moor books--ick!
  6. My son has completed First Language Lessons, Level 4. What do I next for grammar? I have taken the seminar for IEW and start outline writing with him. My husband says there is more to grammar than the eight parts of speech and diagramming. What do you all use next? Thank you for your help! Peace, Amy
