  1. Dr. Ron's Doc's Best. This particular brand is great since it is from food and not synthetic.:D
  2. I would set them up and just let them hang out in the sun all day. If that doesn't work, maybe you could spray some diluted white vinegar on the fabric and let it sun some more?
  3. MAC. MAC. MAC!! We just made the switch last fall. I will never go back to PC. NEVER. ;)
  4. My friends had the same problem with their DD. After a year, they found out that she has SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). Their DD is now on heavy probiotics and taking GSE to combat the bad bacteria.
  5. I love that version!! I vote for herbal tea, scones, lemon curd and butter. Or, the good standby: air-popped popcorn with butter, iced water w/ lemon, and something sweet.
  6. DH & I always remember a Seinfeld episode when Jerry was visiting his parents down in Florida: With sleeping and bathroom breaks, it's like 1 day, really. ;) That's what we laugh about when DH's mom is visiting us....:D
  7. We homeschool mainly at the kitchen table. Read alouds usually happen off the kitchen, in our family room... on the couch, floor, etc.
  8. DH & DD went and DD hated it the whole time. It was loud and some of the robotic animals would just randomly start moving and make noise. She was 5 at the time and was so scared.
  9. DD is in 1st and we do actual school for about 2 hours a day. I have her do some assigned reading, but she enjoys that and doesn't count it as school time. :001_smile:
  10. I would be interesting in: Art (all media) Music Foreign language Hands-on Science
  11. :grouphug: I know what you are going thru. I know that I always post this on "health" posts, but I really believe that health begins in the gut! Do you take really good quality probiotics? The best kind of probiotic to take is from fermented veggies or cultured dairy like plain yogurt, kefir, etc. Get your hubby on probiotics as well! I suffered from chronic yeast infections for a few years. It was TERRIBLE. I had to overhaul my diet. I took out ALL refined flours and sugars. I also started some major probiotic therapy.
  12. Oh good! I was going to post this same thing!!! :D
  13. I had Invisalign for about 18 months when I was 30. It was the best decision. My teeth started to go crooked after DD#1 was born. WEIRD!! I never had braces growing up. And I am REALLY good about wearing my retainer at night! :D
  14. When we first moved into the house, DH installed an attic fan and a whole house fan. The attic fan is set to turn on when the attic air reaches a certain temperature. It kicks on and then blows the hot air OUT. At night, we open up all the windows and turn on the whole house fan. This one sounds like a jet engine, but it sucks all the cool air in from the outside, then blows all the hot air out. It is a good idea to invest in insulated curtains or window treatments. That has helped SOOOO MUCH for our home!
  15. We do this. It definitely keeps us normal and healthy during cold/flu season. Helps with keeping everything moving. :D Naturally fermented foods have a LOT of strains of good bacteria. (I think I read over 50 strains)
  16. :grouphug: oh no... I am so sorry you are going through this! Have you heard of UT Vibrance? It's pricey, but it helped me when I had a UTI after our 2nd was born. Do you take probiotics? A healthy gut is start to a healthy immune system.
  17. Have you considered going to a naturopathic doctor? It looks to me like you may need to do some gut healing for your family. Have you heard of the GAPS diet? Here's a link about a woman who was able to reverse her own food allergies. http://realfoodmedia.com/foodallergies/?AFFID=54877
  18. Ugh... seriously?! How horrible for the family... And what makes me even MORE sad, is that I am not surprised. Marriage means nothing to some people... that is the saddest part of it all.
  19. I would give them to the dogs, feed them to ducks, or to chickens. We've given super stale bagels to our neighbors who have dogs. But now that we have chickens, we just give everything to them.
  20. We've had a Dyson Animal (no animals here... tho). We bought ours from Costco a few years ago. I loooooove it! I have to make sure to clean the hair off the brushes on a regular basis, otherwise, the job doesn't get done well.
  21. it's totally fine. now... i wanna make a batch and put my face in it. (stupid PMS)
  22. I print it out and put it in the a binder. But, if I had more than 1 kid, I would consider taking it to Office Max or Kinkos if the price was good. Printer Ink is $$$ these days!
