  1. Rose - I would also really appreciate a copy! Thanks a bunch!! :)
  2. Thank you so much for that! We find ourselves a little behind - some a little, others a little more... I appreciate your words of wisdom on letting it go! :grouphug:
  3. My DD11 just got a letter today to go to Europe. What did I do?!? Came to the Hive to check P2P out!!!! :D
  4. Being active definitely doesn't make me ornery - just the opposite, in fact! I'm ALWAYS happy, calm, & full of energy :thumbup1:
  5. Thanks so much, Ladies! I did a little research online, and went to the local Wally-world today & picked up the ball book, a canner pot (technical term?!? :001_huh:) and mason jars. My jars are in the dishwasher as I type (I'm a night owl, so I don't mind that it's 8:30 pm & I'm just getting started!)! KFP - I love the idea of doing mini-batches! Thanks so much for that piece of info!! I'll keep ya posted on how it turns out... :001_unsure:
  6. So, this year we planted a small garden and the most amazing thing is happening... We are actually growing things!! We are harvesting tomatoes, okra, squash, zucchini, banana peppers faster than we can eat them or give them away! So, being that I'm a master Gardner/farmer now, I have decided it's time I learn how to can veggies! :D Any suggestions...please?!?!?!? Tomorrow I am going to buy mason jars, and whatever else I find that I may need. What are your tips for easy, entry level canning recipes/techniques? Oh, and for the record, I have already made TONS of z-bread and to be honest, we are kinda over it! :tongue_smilie: TIA, friends!
  7. ...or at least I wonder if that's what it's like - waiting on those wonderful packages from Amazon, eBay, Rainbow Resource, etc?!?!? :willy_nilly: As the last of my curriculum materials trickle in, I find myself constantly checking delivery status updates & peeking out the front door - just in case Mr. UPS Man came & I didn't hear him knock (yeah, right)! Oh, and thanks to Amazon Prime now I don't have to wait as long for my goodies!! Why drive 35 min to the city to shop when I can just hop online & visit my friends Amazon & Zappos?! I guess what I'm trying to say is "Hi, my name is Jeri and I'm an online shop-a-holic!"
  8. [quote name= AWESOME!!!! Have you run a marathon before? I did one. That will be my only. I'm glad I did it once' date=' but it's not for me. My next race is the Detroit half marathon in October. And, I think you should find a friend to do the Warrior Dash with - it's much more fun with a group I did Disney World a couple years ago. I've been trying for 3 years to get into NY & finally made it!! :hurray: (it's a lottery drawing). For some reason, I can't get my active friends interested in playing in the mud...maybe I need some new friends?!? :tongue_smilie: Good luck in Detroit!!
  9. That is AWESOME!! I would love to do one, but none of my "crew" sees the fun in it! Rght now I'm all about getting ready for the ING NYC marathon, but a warrior dash is definitely in my future!! Congrats!!! :)
  10. OMG, you could be my sister...that is so ME!!!! so happy to know I'm not alone in my screwed-up logic!! :tongue_smilie:
  11. Oh, my...oh, my... My DD11 and I have nearly shorted out the iPad drooling over those pics! We WILL have a room like that, oh yes... we will... :drool5:
  12. Oh, I love it! Thanks, ladies! You have definitely made me feel better! And yes... DD was with me, so I'll just blame it on her!! :D
  13. So, i got home from the curriculum fair yesterday & was going through my (big) bag of goodies and here is what I discovered: not only did I buy SOTW 2 activity book, which I had just ordered on Amazon a few days ago; I also bought the exact same book (geography through art) both times that I visited the Rainbow Resource booth!! I think its time for a vacation... :tongue_smilie:
