  1. Everyone in my family thinks I"m crazy but I love Tuna and rice. Since I was a kid I would make up a batch of rice and dump a can of tuna in it........ My family says Ewwwww
  2. I learned that some people have no class and it has nothing to do with how much money they make or what they do for a living.
  3. Now that you bring it up..........yeah..........I didn't think about it before that.... So thanks a lot!!! Now I won't be able to sleep tonight. I go in spurts as life allows. I'll post like crazy for awhile and then it may be a couple of days before I get on (especially if I'm working night shifts at the hospital) so I can't compare myself to those people that have 24 access to the boards......
  4. Cleaning my house- I stink at this Sewing, crocheting, knitting......I get the basics down and then screw it all up after that. Being nice to people I don't like- my husband swears its downright impossible for me Budgeting...........money that is........I prefer a never ending supply of money so I never have to balance a checkbook (in fact I haven't reconciled my checking account in 3 years) Recalling historical dates and facts and putting them in chronological order..... Telling my left from my right- since I was a kid, being ambidextrious I always stunk at this.
  5. Hmmm..... 1. Research- I can research every nook and cranny out of any subject 2. Leadership- I'm a born leader........even when I don't try to be, people just look at me to do it and I jump in and do it naturally...... 3. Baking- I don't like to cook, but I love to bake 4. Telling jokes 5. Dressing fashionably- For some reason I have friends that beg me to help them shop and I've done some pruning of some friends wardrobes over the years (by their request, I would never do that uninvited)
  6. I like Redken's Spin Control too. What I have found for me (and I have pretty tight, spiral curls) is I mix a palmful of gel with a handful of anti-frizz cream. I have bought it alll and frankly have not found a difference between expensive and drugstore brands so right now I'm using Pantene's Anti Frizz gel with Redken's cream.........the 2 together you put on wet hair and comb through with your fingers. I'm sure you know never to use a brush. Also, don't blow dry your hair if you can help it.......but if you do.....don't flip your head upside down........frizz city.
  7. You can click on the link itself in the person's signature and for some people if you click on their name it will take you to their profile and you can find a link to their blog there. Lastly, there was a post awhile back where folks posted their blogs, so you might want to try to do a search for that thread. Rachel

  9. and hence why I no longer am involved in co-opping.......... Sorry for your experience, you certainly aren't alone
  10. This is something I have recently struggled with and have posted about over on The Marriage Bed (a site I heartily recommend) As a wife who has spent years "denying" her husband........I personally felt convicted and have done a 180. The things that have helped me make this change are a couple of books, a website and a few suggestions Books Every Woman's Battle Intimate Issues Sheet Music Website Every Woman's Battle The Marriage Bed (fantastic site.......you can see my story under the category creative s*x ideas and the thread "DW trying to make up for years of neglect" Suggestions I think about s*x every day........sometimes I force myself.......but if I do that throughout the day it works....by the time nighttime hits I've readied myself I touch my husband.......nons*xual touch........a kiss, a pat, a rub on the shoulder........we didn't do that before, but just this adds a level of desire for me I keep myself "prepared"........legs shaved, I wear nice panties all the time, showered, cute pjs........it is amazin how your attitude changes when you know you look the part.......I'm overweight with stretch marks so it isn't about body image......its about FEELING s*xy.......it affects your mind
  11. I love opera....... I am a huge Mozart fan (from birth I believe) so like someone else mentioned you can't go wrong with any of his stuff.....Don Giavonni, Magic Flute But, my absolute favorite is La Boheme followed by Aida
  12. 13. We were going to get the Duet set but it wouldn't fit in our space (Make sure you measure if you have a tight fit) and we ended up with a Frigidaire set and have been very happy with them. I second getting the platforms underneath........I would have killed my back if I had to stoop over every time...and I keep all kinds of stuff down there since there is lots of extra room beyond the detergent and stuff.
  14. I have a Masters in Physical Therapy that I have never used........
  15. We had over 40 games at one time and I got rid of all the boxes and did the ziploc/box thing............didn't help them get used any more though. We realized that there were certain games we played over and over and others that never got used........I finally bit the bullet and donated them.......we now have about 20 games stored on the high shelf in a closet.
  16. My 15yo son writes and draws comic books, plays Guild Wars online and makes Lego movies on the computer My 13yo son skateboards, plays basketball, reads and collects comic books, still plays with GI JOE's Both my boys play Airsoft My 13yo daughter draws (a lot), beading, knits (but only with Knifty Knitter), listens to music on her iPod, works with clay, plays DDR Max on Playstation and plays the Sims on the Wii............I forgot that my daughter got a digital camera for her birthday last month and she is a budding photographer and really enjoys doing digital editing and posting to her Myspace
  17. We are considering after researching TP and Sleep# but not wanting to shell out the big bucks right now..........is two twin mattresses (I need firm for back issues, hubby prefers soft) with our feather bed topper and a device that straps the two mattresses together so they don't slip apart (even if they really could in our frame)..........that way we don't feel the separation of the mattresses, but we each get the mattress we need and twins are a heck of a lot cheaper than a king that we have........
  18. Rocky & Bullwinkle..........probably my favorite Mighty Mouse George of the Jungle........okay, maybe that's my favorite Road Runner Speed Racer The Smurfs........no, that's my favorite..........really!

  20. off and on for a couple of years and I think if you USE it, it works great. It is a community of people trying to lose weight, get healthy, exercise more, etc... There are many, many different components to SparkPeople so I'll just mention some...... 1. Weight tracker (obviously track your weight) 2. Food tracker (this also has optional menus to fit within your personalized calorie intake and can be changed according to your preferences) 3. Goals- You can choose pre-selected or your own personalized goals that you want to accomplish weekly/daily and track your progress 4. Exercise Log- Log your exercise, choose from their selection There are also message boards, tons of articles, recipes, exercise demos, charts, Teams that you can belong to based on your interests or personal fitness goals There is more than this...but you can see how valuable this place is.......
  21. so much for the great feedback.... I did see the "askew" (that is a cool word isn't it?) writing and fixed it.....that is the only part of my blog that I thought was a little hard to read, but I cant seem to move the text down.........very frustrating. I did do it myself but I found a great webpage that walked me through putting the background on the page and it is super easy! I'll try to find it and post it under this thread.......as you can then change the look of your blog pretty simply without lots of HTML nonsense. I'm still VERY new at this so I was a little worried I'd mess the whole thing up......so I'm glad to hear it worked.........whew! The slideshow is from slide.com and they have some VERY cool options over there........videos, music, transitions, frames.......
  22. Like is it easy to read, colors coordinate....formats okay, that kind of thing! Also, can you see the slide show I added and the ticker at the bottom of the page?? Thanks!!!
  23. I think that was pretty cool..........shows how we can all look so different.......but yet we aren't really all that different in the end...... Thanks for posting...
