We were pretty much in agreement. DH did agree that all the children (6) could have the same middle name, which is my maiden name. I only have one girl and her three older brothers named her. Of course we pre approved the names they picked out but they made the final decision.

But schools used to do that. Grades 7-9 we had cooking, sewing and shop.

My ex DIL's mom drank with many of her pregnancies. Apparently she only drank when she didn't want the child. My ex DIL is one of those children. She has FAS. She didn't drink when she was pregnant with my grandchildren. She's FN if that makes a difference.

i kiss my kids on the lips until they get older and then the kids think it is gross to do that and then they just kiss me on the cheek. my 24 yr old has been known to kiss me on the lips without realizing it. I pointed it out once and he didnt realize he had been doing it. now he kisses me on the forehead. lol I still kiss my mom and nana on the lips. Now my sister thinks that is gross and is sexual in nature.

I often wondered the same thing. I guess you just don't care what society at large thinks if you. I think if you are going to live your life going against the grain you better have a thick skin and not have pity parties about why life is unfair to you.

In Ontario one must notify if they are removing their child from school but if you are moving there I don't believe you need to do anything.

University of Manitoba accepts homeschoolers into University one. Most kids do U1 regardless of where they went to school. I know of a homeschooler that got direct entry into the engineering program but she had to jump through hoops to make that happen.

So if one uses sunscreen in the summer they should still supplement? i tend to taper off in the summer because I am outside so much. I don't use a lot of sunscreen once I have a base tan but I just had a cancerous mole removed and the Dr. told me I should use at least a 30 spf. I don't want to be completely covered up either as I am at the beach for a month in the summer.

I too, left the faith I was raised in. Pentecostal,heavily charismatic and prosperity gospel influenced. Left that for Confessional Lutheranism too for pretty much the same reason you mentioned. It felt like such a burden was lifted.

we dropped like flies here this week. all the adults at one time. the kids made out better than we did.

The specialist has told him that he needs to keep his core temperature up so the house is a little warmer now. He has been wearing two pairs of socks for the last few years now. Now we know why. In the winter the car will have to be warmed up before we go anywhere and he will have to have gloves on going to the house and car. In previous winters he wouldnt do that. He exercises a lot already. Boxing is 5 times a week plus what he does at home. After boxing his hands are warm but not for very long.

I guess the title says it all. DS 17 was diagnosed just recently with primary raynaud's and I was just wondering if anyone has used natural treatments to increase blood flow to the extremities. The specialist has recommended an ace inhibitor which DS has declined because he boxes and this would prevent him fighting competitively as it would be considered a performance enhancing drug. He also plays the violin and this is where I was wondering if there are natural treatments that can help. Very cold and sometimes numb fingertips has made it very difficult for him to play well.

Well that happened to my not half brother. They told him when he was in thirties. Not sure why they waited so long. We all assumed my bio dad was his dad. My bio dad raised him as his own. I suspect my bio dad knew all along. the real father was married to someone else. My bio dad has also fathered several other children. His knickname at the time was 7 up. He had my mom pregnant, my step mom(or so we thought), and 5 other women all at the same time. My grandmother told me all this when i was quite young. She said there were twins that were adopted out and the rest would have been passed off as someone elses child. Years later my dad told me about the twins. However I'm not sure that my half sisters and not really half brother know about the twins. I don't plan to bring it up.

Your friend is irresponsible and her financial troubles are her own doing and i would even say some of her actions are criminal. She knowingly defrauded the utilities company. I think your friend needs to file her taxes even if the refund is going to pay student loans. I'm sorry but I would have very little sympathy for someone like that and I would think she deserves to feel the full force of her consequences or she might never learn.

It was done with my first. Up to his elbow. My husband was amazed. And yes, it was very painful.

My oldest is a fourth year electrician. We are in Canada though. He's union and the province pays for the majority of his training so he will have very little debt if any. He goes to school this April and he will have his ticket then. The down fall about being a fourth year is that he sat on the books for a year and half with no work. Most companies don't want to hire fourths because they cost almost as much as a journeyman and still need to be supervised. Thankfully he is working now and will have his hours for his journey man when he is done school. Second son is a commercial diver. School was done in 3 mths. Work is slim this year because of the drop in oil. A lot of off shore guys have come in shore looking for work. He is joining the Reserves this winter as the diving job is seasonal unless he moved either to the East of West.
