  1. We use Crayola washable markers as wet erase markers on our whiteboards. You can get them anywhere that sells Crayola stuff. They work great. :)
  2. Merry Christmas to you too, Jean! May your holidays be filled with love and laughter! :)
  3. Well, we'll still have the dots under our names. Or in my case DOT. More posts equal more dots. At the rate I post, my single dot is not likely to change any time soon. lol
  4. You can also customize your profile page and make it your own. I changed the background image on mine a couple of weeks ago. While you're in Profile Settings, go to Profile Customization and you can upload a picture or change your background color. It's fun to experiment! ;-)
  5. Because of this thread, I now feel the need to eat 100 pounds of brownies. With frosting. In 4 hours. I won't though, because A. my MIL doesn't make brownies for me and B. 100 pounds of brownies would turn into 400 pounds of ME, and nobody wants that. OP, I would be mad if my kid wasted a big bowl of cereal that I spent 4 minutes buying at the store. If I had spent 4 hours making it, well, I'm pretty sure that my head would spin 360 degrees and then explode. It would not be pretty. lol You are quite clearly an amazing mom and a good sport as well. Your son is a very lucky boy!
  6. I was going to suggest Code Academy as well. The site starts you out with basic things and then leads you on a track to find out what interests you and helps you to master that. You set your own pace, but they encourage you to make forward progress and make it fun to do so.

  8. Am I the only one who just clicks New Posts, or View New Content as it is now, at the top of the board and then reads threads that are interesting no matter where they are located? I almost never go directly into a particular forum. The only time I do that is when I've been reading a thread that I don't have time to finish. If I remember to, before I close the thread I'll look up at the top and find out where it is located so that I can find my way back to it later. That helps in the event that it does not come to the top of New Posts when I get a chance to come back to read more. Otherwise I have to search for it, which can be hit or miss, depending on how common the topic is. Normally though, I just run through New Posts and that works for me.
  9. We've been using it for a year or so and it's awesome. You can update your lists from your phone, tablet or computer and it will keep them all in sync. My husband does a lot of our shopping and he just checks off the lists as he goes to various places and I can look at the lists and SEE what he has already gotten. I can also add items to the lists while he's at the store and they appear on his list immediately. We don't have to call each other to remind each other of things that were left off the list originally. You can use the lists to track the prices of items too, and it makes it easy to figure out where is the best place to buy each of our regular items.
  10. You can have private folders in Dropbox, folders that you share with specific people and also have a public folder that is shared with the whole world. It's not an all or nothing thing. :)
  11. I think it is rep from the old board, before it was turned off, added to whatever has been liked since the new board has come back up. If you didn't join the old board until after the rep was turned off, you started with 10 points on this board. Any points over that are from people liking your posts since the new board has been in use. That's how it seems to be for me, at any rate.
  12. That's super. I bought the kindle version in 2010 and paid $23.19 for it. You all got a bargain! :)
  13. If you go down to the bottom of the page, can you click Change Theme and select the mobile board? I have not tried that on my kindle, but it seems like a possibility. I hope it works, because I read from my kindle sometimes too!
  14. That should be because you were already logged on HERE, not at fb. The board sets a cookie when you log in and tell it to remember you, and it will remember you no matter what method you use to come back here. If you were to log out here and clear your cookies, I don't believe that you would get the same result.
  15. We've been getting some robocalls from people supporting various state amendments that will be on the ballot tomorrow and some other statewide races, most notably judges. We don't get any from the presidential race any more though. Back in the spring before the primaries we got a bunch of calls, and I started going on Twitter and tweeting at them that if they kept calling me I was going to vote for the opposition. I don't think it helped, but it made me feel better to at least try to SAY something to them. If only there were good candidates who would NOT use automated calling and people could threaten to withhold their votes and MEAN it! Maybe the ones who lost because they annoyed people to death before the election would think twice before doing that again.
  16. When I click the link to buy it, it says that this bundle is not available any more. Too bad, it looks like there is some interesting stuff there.
  17. There is some stuff you can get called Anti-Icky-Poo. It works better to get out cat odors than anything I've ever tried. I've got an 18 1/2 year old cat and I've tried a lot of stuff. lol I order it from Amazon, but there are other places you can get it, I'm sure. It's amazing.
  18. Here's mine! http://pinterest.com/_melody_ I'm looking forward to look at all the other great boards mentioned in this thread! :)
  19. I actually did NOT cloth diaper when my kids were babies, but now I own a thriving cloth diaper forum. Go figure. lol
  20. Woohoo! ROLL TIDE ROLL! You were right, I was crying! TEARS OF JOY! It's great to be a Bama Fan!
