We just started using SL 3 (only into week 2) and so far, we are enjoying it. After reading the read aloud, I go to the appropriate section in the IG and ask the comprehension questions. Here is my problem:
We are reading Walk the World's Rim - in Chapter 2 the IG asks "Who is Esteban referring to when he says, 'by the beard of the Prophet'? Answer: Mohammed. How do we know that? It doesn't state anywhere in the readings that he is Muslim (or else I missed it ;)).
In chapter 5, there is the question: When did horses come to the Americas? Answer: They were brought by Spaniards in the 16th century. It states the source as American Heritage Encyclopedia of American History
Today, we have this question: What types of things would a priest like Fray Marcos have done that were great in Peru with Pizarro? Answer: nothing, since Pizarro, as a conquistador, conquered, subdued, and lied to the Incan people. Where in the WORLD is this from (no pun intended!!)?
Are there some resources that I am missing?
Thanks for your help.
