  1. Garga, I'm curious if there were any favorite labs? I've gone through the book & it's pretty meaty, IMO.
  2. Thanks so much, Garga. I feel the same way. I want a solid experience for the kids I'm teaching, but I also work 30 hours/week so any additional help makes a big difference. I'll check out the CD.
  3. Do you know if there is a teacher's guide with answers for this? I've gone through it, but I'm not sure if I feel confident leading a few kids in these labs.
  4. We've used the equine science, along with some other guides & it's been wonderful.
  5. Has anyone ordered an e-book from this company? I am trying to purchase & download the equine science program & there is a $10 shipping & handling fee :glare: ...Why? I get as far as putting in my information, but the fee does not drop off. Am I missing something on why they would need to charge me an additional $10? Thanks!
  6. I agree with Amy. We love IEW & the way it teaches writing. I find it quite flexible & easy to implement. FLL was like water torture to me. I hated every bit of it.
  7. This is one of my all time favorite recipes. I triple it each time & freeze the individual cakes. Just made Jamie Oliver's tikka masala dish...omg...to die for! Very quick & easy.
  8. During the election my ds 6 said I really want Barack o' mama to win. Dd 8 corrected him & said his name is " the rock Obama." ...
  9. I would say you need to be excited & happy for her. If you are anxious or scared she will know it & it will sadly effect her. This will be a wonderful growing experience for your daughter. I'm sure you've taught her quite well, so trust in that.
  10. Ditto to me as we'll OP. Gmail was luckily locked down when they saw an attempted login in Vietnam. I also had 2 extra security features on my banking system so they couldn't get into that. I have 6 new passwords now & will rotate them every 2 months. Thanks target.
  11. B12 is actually stored in the liver not the gallbladder. I would have to agree with garden mom that a gallbladder flush & a liver cleanse are probably warranted. Your gallbladder stores bile which is made in the liver. Bile is needed to I break down fats & these fats are needed for countless purposes. One important one being to absorb fat soluble vitamins. Lack of symptoms doesn't = being fine IMO. Lack of absorption of these nutrients eventually shows up. Bile can become sludgy like oil in a car & may need help in being thinned out. Beet leaves are great for this. Look for an ND, DO or DC who specializes in nutrition & cleanses.
  12. Walk to the beach in 5 min. Plymouth Rock, mayflower, cape cod are within 15 min. 30 min to Boston/Cambridge/Harvard/MIT They can walk to a penny candy store & a pizza joint. Lots of nice we'll maintained places to hike.. Cons... The bleeping weather...
  13. We love it & the kids do as well. I find there's ample opportunity to get away on my own for a walk or to rest. The camp we go to is in western MA & they run such a great program that we can hardly wait to go back each year.
  14. I agree wholeheartedly as a fellow curly haired woman. To be able to run my fingers thru my hair was one the best feelings ever. I've done it about 3 times now & it is especially great in the summer when we have high humidity...my hair doesn't shrink 6 inches...yeah! Friends & family do not like when I have it done because I don't look like myself, but I don't care. And if you can believe it, the feeling of straighter hair only gets better :)
  15. I think Dunkin Donuts coffee is just nasty brown water. I think if you buy junk food you should be taxed at a higher rate & charged more for your medical insurance. (and I sometimes buy junk food) I abhor winter & all the freakin' clothes I have to put on just to go to the store or the library. Everything is much more difficult in the winter. I support your right to own a gun, just not a semi-automatic weapon. Nope. no sireee. I think our medical system is completely broken. I refuse to call it health care. I think soda is vile. I think kids need boundaries. I think Star Wars is the BEST movie ever made & I could watch over & over & over. Most kids are shocked at how much I know about it. I think Christmas music should be banned. I will never understand how people can keep a dog/cat/bird in their home. It seriously grosses me out. I think all religion is a crock of beans. Now I can go to Starbucks!
