I love the program. I do have access to a gym with free weights, cable machines, and (some, to be more) kettle bells. There are substitutions suggested if you don't have some equipment or can't do certain exercises because of physical limitations. During this past week I have used; Bands Cable machines 15, 30, and 40lb dumbbells A bench 45lb bar w plates (deadlift, hip thrust) 30lb kettle bell I also did numerous body weight exercises: planks, side planks, push ups, single leg squats-to-bench.

I love the Pyrex w snap-locking lids. We bought 2 sets at Costco a couple years ago and gave our plastics to our older kids.

Today I finished Level 2 of the Modern Wonen's Guide to Strength Training by Girls Gone Strong, a 16 week program, with a lower body day. I did squats w an offset kettlebell, one-leg squats to bench, and weighted hip thrusts (4 sets of 15, 65lb---I didn't think I'd be able to finish that last set!) plus a bunch of other things. Level 3 begins on Friday :D

Has everyone nailed down testing sites fir this year's exams? I decided to not even try to find a school near us. D will be taking her exams at the same school as last year about an hour away. They use Total Registration---so easy to register and pay online! D is just taking 3 this year--US Gov and both econs.

Yesterday was a scheduled day off. It was also older dd's 22nd bday, so she and The Boyfriend came home :) This morning at the gym was a "pull" day, focusing on deadlifts (4x5 at 130; grip started to suffer so I switched to mixed grip), dumbbell rows (4x6 at 40lb!), and lat pulldowns among others. Tonight is a Pop Pilates class :D Monday is the only day I workout twice lol

Did you post college acceptance on Facebook?
Luckymama replied to TwoEdgedSword's topic in The College Board
D watched her brother's friends go through the arduous security clearance process their senior year of college. That made an absolute impression on her. "Mom, see what people find about these nominees? That cannot happen to me if I reach the appointment level."
