  1. Thanks for all the ideas ☺️
  2. Trying hard to cut back this Christmas. Actually trying to cut back on amount spent on gifts but still give thoughtful wanted gifts. Struggling with this. I love giving gifts but this year money is super tight. I am very stressed about some other stuff going on & add trying to find gifts. I am about to lose it. (still no clue what to get most people on my list) But I did make another meal from leftovers and 1 can veggie. So that was a basically free meal for 4. That goes in the good category.
  3. Yep this. Except there is always a couple family members who don't buy for anyone.
  4. I know nothing about brands but maybe a heated foot pad warmer kinda like this https://www.amazon.com/Cozy-Products-TT-Toasty-Ergonomic/dp/B0013V6PDG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1543467448&sr=8-4&keywords=heated+foot+pad
  5. Wait you eat FOOD on Christmas? I thought it was "eat candy & junk from stocking" day. Ok I am not that bad. We either way breakfast or supper at MIL depending on schedule of young kids with divorced parents. Other meals for us are random whatever we can find. Usually there are leftovers in fridge.
  6. Chili Chicken and dumplings Chicken pot pie filling with biscuits Spaghetti Mac & cheese & ham Fried rice with beef & broccoli Enchiladas Chicken rotel spaghetti Any favorite casserole doubled or tripled Basically anything I cook is doubled or tripled
  7. Money has been slipping away left and right. Mostly for Christmas presents and groceries but still. Have gotten a few good deals. We went shopping Friday afternoon and Saturday. Found each ds main Christmas present. They were with us, normally would have tried to hide it or came back etc but we were out of town. We couldn't pass it up (saved $80) so we bought it. They are 17 & 20 so not like ruining santa but still wished it could have been a surprise. Also found some niece and nephew gifts 1/2 price. MIL likes the adult coloring books. I found some really nice ones super cheap for her. Came home from 2 different thanksgiving dinners with quiet a bit of turkey. Put it in the freezer in portion sizes for soups & casseroles. Cheap meals later.
  8. Frogger - sorry about your oven. Some appliance stores sell scratch and dent appliances. A lot of the defects are on the side or back and not even seen. Things like that don't bother me so that is where we start looking. 🤣🤣 Hey I can support that too
  9. Here 🖐️ Wake and worry is almost a nightly thing. Some nights I am lucky and wake, sorry a minute and go back to sleep. Other nights not so lucky. I lay there for hours worrying. Or worry, doze, worry, doze.
  10. Thaw in fridge several days. Take out of bag when ready to cook. Pull out stuff stuck in cavity. Plop bird in pan. Rub a little oil all over bird. Pour beer in cavity. Cover with foil & bake at 325 for however long suppose to. Yep I go all fancy. LOL But seriously it comes out moist and everyone likes it.
  11. Also PS4 controllers are$8 cheaper right now at walmart
  12. I asked ds. He doesn't have those games but thinks they can be played offline. He said if you can see the box it will say internet required if you have to have the card. Some games can be played both online or offline I know nothing about these games.
  13. If you play playstation online you need the Plus card normally $60 right now email delivery $40. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sony-PlayStation-Plus-12-Month-Subscription-Digital-Download/548625708

  16. Thanks mommyoffive I need some pictures! Bought another 47c turkey today, it will make several meals. Found another nephew the Christmas gift he wants, really cheap. Not big savings but every little bit counts
  17. Sold 2 coats today. Not much but helped out a friend and I have enough to cover an outing tomorrow
  18. Got 1 nephew a Christmas present for free ?
  19. Spray mattress & pillows with with white vinegar and allow to dry (do while washing sheets). Spray inside shoes & any other soft/fabric surface. Once vinegar dries you won't smell it but it helps pull odors out of fabrics.
  20. I use to give my grandmother snacks. Mostly store bought individually wrapped snacks.. snack cakes, cookies packs of various crackers (peanut butter, cheese, jalpeno cheese etc.) small bags of chips etc. She liked the variety and didn't have to worry about something going stale. She also got a tin of fresh baked cookies. Puzzle books, books, packs of cards & stamps, draft stoppers (long things to put along bottom of door), videos & pictures of my kids, fuzzy socks, packs of tissues, tic tacs (she always kept them in her purse), oil of Olay, favorite hand lotion, special lipstick she liked. For my parents -- fresh baked cookies, frozen cookie dough (in individual balls ready to bake), jarred peaches my stepdad likes, summer sausage sticks & crackers, gift cards to various restaurants they like, photo books of my kids, huge pack of toilet paper (it was a joke one year but my mom liked it ? ) a big bottle of dish detergent (again a joke but she liked). puzzle books, fuzzy socks
  21. Yesterday I went to a small grocery and noticed they had turkeys less than 50c a lb. Yeah I grabbed a couple. And some other random food stuff I needed. Also stopped by walmart picked up some smaller totes. I am doing some organizing and tired of the piles that need to be put in totes. I bought the cheapest I could. Spent a little money but man does that spot look better now. Totally worth it.
  22. With the poison, don't the die hidden somewhere and stink
