BTW when I 1st read the title I read it as "How are you doing WITH your holiday shopping?".
My response to that was
  :smilielol5: :smilielol5:   Yeah less than 3 weeks and I have bought nearly nothing.
Thinking about buying everyone groceries (regular items not specialty) or household items (washing detergent, dish soap, shampoo, toilet paper etc. )

:grouphug: That is ALOT of money. There is no way we could have done that especially right now.

I have stuff sent to friends or now to dh's work (he now works at a small place and can do that)

I bought quite a bit at our local craft fairs this years. I also ordered online mostly. Youngest and I went to Bass Pro shortly before Thanksgiving and did some shopping for dh and oldest dd. I actually picked up a couple things today unexpectantly. I was shopping downtown (stand alone stores, not mall) and saw some really cute things at a good price for stocking stuffers. Amazon is easy and their boxes all say amazon, so it could be household stuff (paper towels, etc) or Christmas.....
I too thought all Amazon came in their boxes but be make sure to read on big items. Some come in the regular box. But generally amazon give you the option for one of their boxes. Didn't see that option 1 time. Learned and looked the next time.

Week before last I ordered my mom a grandmother necklace. It was under $20 but I really think she will like it. It will be her Christmas gift from dss.
This week we paid to have our heat fixed  I am extremely thankful it was able to be fixed but was so not planning that expense. So what little money I had set aside for Christmas shopping is gone. Again thankful for heat getting fixed.
We had 3 family dinners, each on a different day but none here. I bought the stuff I was to bring before the heat deal.
After all the dinners/running I have been home and lazy this weekend.
Sounds like y'all are finding some GREAT deals :hurray:

Our car does this too. No idea why. We have one of those jumper cable things that plugs in, so we spend a lot of time jumping our car. *sigh*
This
Someone asked me other day if ds knew how to jump a car. Yes he is very well versed in it.

My bunch doesn't care much about name brands. They are more worried about how it feels/fits. Mostly they wear boot cut jeans, boots and either t-shirt or t-shirt with a snap up shirt (cowboy style). Jackets or coats are camo.

Ds is wanting some cordless headphones for playing online games on his PS3. He doesn't really know anything about them and I know nothing. I need some advice please.
Thanks.

I leave them all out especially just overnight. Sometimes it is 2 nights before they make it to fridge, if any is left for 2nd night

Day before. Pecan, pumpkin and sweet potato. All tastes good to me the next day and even the next 2, if they last that long.
Pecan -- I think it sets up better if baked the night before.

Plastic is still available here but I use reusable bags as much as possible. I have a bunch from various places. Some I bought and some were freebies.
Tractor Supply has awesome bags. They are tall so not always great for shorter folks but I have a tall ds that generally is at the store with me. They are heavy duty (can hold like 5 2 liter bottles and no breaking). They are cheap too. Usually about $1.50 but go on sale often for 99c
My dc will help the cashier by holding the bags open or even just taking the items from her and placing them in the bags. When I put stuff on the counter I do it in groups. Bag and what I want in that bag. Then next bag and stuff. I do that because I know where stuff goes in my house and try to make it easier on cashier by not having to decide what can fit in a bag.
If I happen to forget my bags I make sure to reuse the plastic ones.

Snapfish has some good deals this time of year. Same with Walgreens. I have had good pictures with both.
I don't know if WalMart runs sales but they did a really good job on ds graduation photo invitations,

$10 for pizza lunch for 2 dc and myself - friend and her dc came over for lunch. We split the cost of pizza,
$30 at grocery
$5 for a couple items I forgot at grocery -- borrowed $ from ds, need to pay him back
$55 for 5 Christmas gifts
The gifts were are surprise find. Stopped at a store to get some ideas. Found these items on clearance and these items were some of the exact items on dss wish list.
