  1. Today is a home day and plans are -- To reclaim the house. It is a huge mess And laundry needs to be done Oh and I guess people want to eat so I need to figure out some meals for the week
  2. Co-op here is for younger grades or classes ds has already had. What is right? I have a home day! :hurray: :hurray: And nothing on the calendar this week  What is not quiet right? I keep feeling we are suppose to have something on the calendar this week and I forgot to put it there :scared: Let's hope not.
  3. Spices sound nice. Or maybe a nice bottle of olive oil and those spices for bread. Wine if they drink. Candle or wax warmer and some cubes Flowers or fruit basket
  4. When I 1st made pumpkin pie with fresh pumpkin dh frowned because it was a different color. Now he is spoiled to fresh pumpkin.
  5. Last time I baked pumpkin pie I had to much filling for the pie shell. Baked test in a dish with no shell. It was just as good
  6. Crib sheets will cover a van seat. I used them when the dc were younger then when they got to teens I stopped. But I kept them in the car in case they got messy somewhere. Easy to put on, covers head rest all way to where legs rest. Easy to care for, laundry as usual. I had the long car mats that went from 1 side to the other then sat the regular mats on top of that. Yeah my kids played ball and mud or red dirt was a big occurrence. Kept my van with light interior for over 10 years but it still looked nearly new when we sold it.
  7. What I want to do Read fun book and relax What I need to do Clear junk from kitchen counters Mop Vacuum Clean bathrooms Do laundry
  8. Love reading this thread. Lately I feel like I am on a sinking ship. Way to much money has gone out and bills flooding in. But I am trying. I just keep trying.
  9. We use the Nalgene 32oz bottles with these sleeves https://www.nalgene.com/product/2355-0011/ Have been using them for YEARS.
  10. Please don't think that I was calling you a prude! Or anyone! I was just laughing at ds face when he realized he didn't have the clean version and was playing it LOUD.
  11. Other day ds was listening to a song he downloaded. Apparently he had only heard the radio version because when a certain F word was said his head popped up. I don't like cussing in the songs but I also don't freak out (have a friend that does big time). I just reminded ds not to play that song around certain people.
  12. I am sorry for your loss I would do the family calendar and then a scrapbook of photo book of your sister. Then maybe give it at Christmas or quietly before or after Christmas, depending on how your parents are doing.
  13. Have 0 money right now but I have started a list of ideas. BIL - a gift card to his favorite local burger cafe. My parents - gift card to favorite local Mexican restaurant Mom -- some games from her childhood, metal jacks, paddle ball etc. Just something fun. I don't really want to do all gift cards but like BIL loves this place but doesn't go often. Keeping my ears open to what people say & hope the list will help when I do shop.
  14. Pink & Green Mom -- yeah I feel that way too with guests. Mostly worry I will say something "wrong or bad". Mytwomonkeys -- enjoy your vacation I guess I will to do something  The summer is slipping away and my list isn't shrinking. I want things done but just don't wanna do them :blushing: Today I will try to: catch up on laundry, complete with folding finish living room decluttering dust & vacuum living room go thru clothes in 1 closet, not sure which one yet
  15. Teen boys 2-3 pair jeans 1 pair is nice, other is work, usually if have 3rd pair it is both work & decent 4-5 pair basketball type shorts - sleep & hang around house in these 3-4 pair button shorts - leave the house shorts 10-15 tshirts - mix of decent & work/around house shirts 4-6 nice snap up shirt LOTS of underwear & socks 2 pair tennis shoes - 1 nice, 1 work 2 pair boots - 1 nice, 1 work 2-3 hoodies 1 winter coat Seems like a lot typing it out but We do actually have all 4 seasons but sometimes they get confused. It was warm in February but cool in May this year. Summer is always hot & humid. Ds works outside (wears shorts & tshirt) and comes home everyday soaking wet in sweat. He immediately either showers or just changes clothes (might need to do something around here but wants dry clothes) then after shower is another set of clothes. ETA: that is not per season but total clothes all year. And that is what I try to keep. Right now they quiet a few more t-shirts.
  16. I haven't been as frugal as I needed to be. Mom's birthday and family in means I spent more. What's so bad is I didn't spend to much on the gift but when I would go to store looking for ideas I would spend on other thing. That really messed me up. This week I am hoping I can stay out of stores. Going to try to cook from pantry and freezer.
  17. This morning I definitely needed coffee and then cokes. I have been limiting my cokes but today I needed them. I needed to do laundry and general cleaning but I spent the day with family that is in town visiting. The mess is still waiting on me but enjoyed family time. School start date is day after Labor Day. Haven't even looked at school supplies. I am in denial. Lol
  18. Back in May I made out a detailed list of what I wanted to get accomplished this summer. It is really long but very detailed. My hope was to see lots & lots of check marks and feel good. HA! There isn't very many check marks yet. Zero get up & go combined with don't even know where to start and a new group of really good friends that we have been doing things with = not much done. Yeah I know, back off the fun stuff but this group is a blessing and we love being with them. We can't afford vacation but we can afford to meet for picnics and park days etc. Still hoping I will get on the ball.
  19. With it being so hot I am thinking lots of cereal, sandwiches & ice cream. 😀 I will throw in some fresh cut up veggies and watermelon.
  20. I love watching tiny house shows and love some of the ideas Zack comes up with on tiny house nation. And I love the idea of less stuff. Do I think I could live in one? Nope. I have lots of stuff in my current home that I could and need to get rid of but lots of stuff I won't part with either. And I am to clumsy to go up & down a ladder. I like to sit up in bed to read. I am not a neat person by nature and quiet frankly my rear is to wide to be in a tiny place. I do think that people that can live in them are awesome. On the other end of the spectrum I also like watching the extreme mansion homes. No way would I want to live in one of those either. Yeah the huge closets are awesome but I wouldn't want to clean all that.
  21. I take badges to local dry cleaners and they will see them on for couple dollars. Totally worth it to me.
