  1. For this cool, free resource. I'm going to download and peruse it.
  2. You have given me a new idea! I didn't know this could be done. :001_smile:
  3. Blokus & Rush Hour were favorites of DS at this age.
  4. I was attracted to WWE & FLL last year because they seemed straight-forward to me. Last January we started WWE Level 3 and paced thru it. DS, age 10, thought it was hard, but he did the summarizing. I liked it because it was not creative writing. He does not like to write and is not a good speller, so I typed his summaries out and had him copy them. He did ok last semester. We do not homeschool thru the summer. I started WWE Level 3 again a couple weeks ago. Summarizing is still difficult for him. (However, if he has read something, and voluntarily tells me about it, he does a great job.) This week he told me he could not do it. A friend is starting an IEW class soon, so I'm putting him in it. Should I just give up on WWE level 3 for now? Any advice from someone with a boy with similar problems? TIA,
  5. I try to gear my answer to the level of interest of the person asking. Most of the time, they are expecting a short answer, so I just say that he's homeschooled. If they are interested beyond that, I go into more detail.
  6. It teaches how to hold the pencil correctly, how to form letters correctly in a very basic way. Great for a boy. However, there were some days that we had tears with it. Simple and short exercises.
  7. I began using WWE and FLL Level 3 workbooks with DS, age 10, in December. They are very well done. Obviously, beginning mid-year, we won't finish them. Should I just pick up where we left off next fall or start Level 4 workbooks? If I should go on to Level 4, how far should I aim to complete in Level 3? I did notice that FLL Level 4 covers much of what Level 3 covers. TIA, Coffee Lover
