  1. CQ does have answers included in the back of the manual for a few of the labs. It also has diagrams to label and answer keys for those as well. I'm more familiar with CQ than with ES so maybe someone more familiar with ES can chime in. :001_smile:
  2. Salt and vinegar. But I think that's a Canadian/British thing... ;)
  3. Equate: The Equation Thinking Game? http://rainbowresource.com/product/sku/005530/4c5add98540b90972827b292
  4. Hmmm... My signature isn't showing up.
  5. Not sure if this is helpful or not but I found this article really helped me to not feel so "alone": http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/optimum_intelligence.htm The Hoagies' Gifted site in general is a fantastic resource for parents of gifties and even parents who may be gifties themselves. :001_smile: The article I linked above is entitled "Optimum Intelligence: My Experience as a Too Gifted Adult" but the author, Carolyn K., talks a lot about her experiences trying to "fit in" with co-workers and neighbours when talking about her gifted kids.
  6. I puffy-heart-love chemistry! :001_smile: My undergrad degree is a chem degree with a major in organic chem. I then went on to get an ed degree so I could (gasp!) teach high school chem. :001_smile: I've taught Gr. 11, 12, and AP Chem but I have to say that Gr. 11 was my favourite to teach - I don't know why... I really, really love organic chem. All the other chem teachers I know are all phys chem majors - I seem to be some kind of odd aberation... ;) (Heading back into my super-lurker mode...) :leaving:
  7. He's got "handful" written all over him - bet he's a smart little beggar, though, isn't he? :001_smile:
  8. (I think this might be my first post here - I've been lurking for quite a while! :o) Very strong introvert here! Just wanted to mention another book on introverts that specifically talks about kids - it's called "The Hidden Gifts of the Introverted Child: Helping Your Child Thrive in an Extroverted World": http://www.amazon.com/The-Hidden-Gifts-Introverted-Child/dp/0761139877/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332606559&sr=8-1 I highly recommend it. :001_smile: (ETA - Oops! Not my first post but my second. Guess I'm sliiiiiiiiightly more extroverted than I thought. ;))
  9. I recently spoke with Angela DuBois through e-mail (author of the ClassiQuest series) and, though she's had some unexpected delays, she hopes that the Earth Science curriculum will be out soon. She's putting the finishing touches on it now. She's wonderful about replying to inquiries - you could contact her and see if she has an approximate release date. Cheers, Connie
