  1. I.Would.Die. Makes me grateful that all MIL does is lick her fingers occasionally (then rinse them, no soap, bleach) and bubbles notes while cooking for everyone. I think some of this comes from being a SAH individual for so long and not getting out in public socializing enough.
  2. Uuuuussss!! Happens once in a while!!🎄💃🗻
  3. I love napping. And I love being home alone. And I don't mind cooking alone. I could come up with hobbies, but kids and too little energy and too much to do around here makes it.pointless to think about. I dream of a clean house, empty countertops, no clutter and.quiet. I'm told someday I'll get that and wish it weren't so.
  4. My husband does this. And I look and look for him, thinking he's in the garage or basement and then realize he's in the living room with the tree. Shhhh...🎅
  5. I third Ikea kitchens. And, you better believe there's money for her behind this somewhere. She already tried to "overdesign" your kitchen once, now she's immovable on a certain cabinetmaker. Hmmmm....
  6. Tuna salad with one minute mayonnaise, baked beans and steamed broccoli.
  7. The person asking the questions controls the conversation. Ask him questions back...just as one poster above said, "Why do you ask?"
  8. Yep, gluten and/or dairy. There are so many GF/DF options out there now, maybe you could find him some replacements be might be willing to eat to test if the bumps go away. The gluten and/or dairy could definitely be a thing since he's on the spectrum.
  9. What LarlaB said and activated.charcoal.
  10. We're picking up our Pacifica hybrid day after tomorrow. Excited! Our 10yo Sienna has served us well and we're selling it to DHs parents.
  11. Points 2 and 3 that you make re dress code and addressing your dd are *huge* red flags. Whether they're flags for grooming, idk, and would be irrelevant to me. My first choice would be either to not send children back into this situation under this individuals influence/authority, or second, if I were to send them back into this situation that they have an eye-to-eye discussion with me and my husband (you have to take your DH on your side, because a man like this does not respect women or their opinions), and that he is in no uncertain terms to speak to my daughter again about her appearance or one-on-one without me present. He should know he's being watched and so is your daughter.
  12. She may have thought you were lead on the project. Had you been to this place before, but not her? Are you the older sibling? And, she may not be a big picture thinker, able to step back and break a larger project into smaller steps. Not everybody is and it's certainly not needed for teaching K.
  13. Maybe only white women applied to the design team. Maybe the company assumes (logically) that those with the most followers will get the most social media eyes on their products and hence the most ad bang for their buck. Reality is, the company is probably making the best marketing decision they believe they can make. Bottom line is, "we're not sure what happened."
  14. What product did she use before drying it? What type of brush or comb? Also, I had good success going to ULTA and asking for product suggestions for my situation.
  15. Low zinc level can contribute to stinky feet.
  16. I think Bryan is shooting himself in the foot and biting the hand that feeds him. 😂 Maybe he's tired of teaching. 😂
  17. Someone paid for our meal ahead of us in the drive through. Didn't bother me. I jsur honked and waves. I have a FB person I follow who does this with her kids in the mall (merry Christmas, hand other person cash) every Christmas. I think it's a weird show of charity/giving, and I think it would more often than not make other people uncomfortable. Totally different than the needy/homeless person scenario. I really like this person otherwise, but find.this giving thing a little ostentatious. But, she's been on both sides of the financial fence so maybe it means something different to her than to me.
  18. Found my Dad's rectal cancer. Probably has given him a few more years. He's 78, just finished surgery/chemo/radiation. Surgery left him all clear.
  19. Either find another family or find another line of work. You're already unhappy with the situation, the Dad already sounds dissatisfied with her, and can you imagine her living in a house with his commentary like that all the time? He sounds like a jerk and this is a very personal line of work...not to mention living there.
  20. For those who watch or have watched Antiques Roadshow, do people actually then sell their items at Auction? How do they do that? Is contacting a local antiques dealer just as good? Trying not to get "taken," but don't know where to begin selling off some of my grandparents' stuff which may be of some value...but no clue.
  21. Congrats!! My 13yo wants to go there, but mostly because it's down the street from Williamsburg. 😉
  22. Congrats! Had my #3 just 6 days after my 40th bday (my best baby sleeper, by far!!!) and then #4 at 43 (I think?ðŸ˜) and he's 2 now, gorgeous, adorable, fun, curly-headed and eyelashed little boy. #4 was harder, I was tired a lot more, But another wonderful birth and healthy baby. Best wishes!
  23. Yep, her problem not yours. Horribly rude to tell someone else that they need to be patient. She needs to get over herself.
  24. I just find almost everything about the Little House stuff really dull. The books and the true stories. Snore. My husband, otoh, chokes up while reading Farmer Boy to our kids. I think it's when Almanzo wins the award for best pig. Laura's writing is beautiful, but I don't think I could make it through the whole series without the provocation of children wanting to continue it; and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have the patience to make it through a biographical expose, no matter how rich. The Twitterer has an awful lot of issue with the Ingalls' skin color, though. I hope Prairie Fires is less biased.
