Help me help my son finish this quilt
Hyzenthlay in Pa. replied to Mama_Rana's topic in General Education Discussion Board
There is a fringe cutting tool that will make even cuts of the same depth on your fabric. You will also need a rotary cutter & cutting mat. I'd look at Joannes fabric or craft type store. Sometimes Walmart sells these at a savings. The fringe tool is thinner than a rotary cutter ruler, has slots to run the blade through at even intervals and will stop the blade from cutting too far into the fabric. -

Another thing to concider is the spice and acidity of food. When the insides of the mouth are raw, till they get used to the brackets rubbing, we avoided ketchup, chili, spaghetti, etc. -

I need help choosing science for my Dd, 10th grade and on up. Here's a little about her and her goals. She likes science, on TV, pbs, Discovery channel etc. This past year she did AO lifepac electives astronomy & geology. It was a crazy year and we needed simple. They were very light weight but she didn't mind the workbooks . Liked working them on her own.She ground a lense, had it mirrored and built a telescope, and read books on OEC, YEC debate. We will continue on with more Bible & evolution this next year. We can work with any of these beliefs. Her interests are to go to a music conservatory for opera. We live in Pa. and need 3 science units for a Pa diploma. I want her to do fair on science on SATs. If she should change her mind, I'm willing to let her take remedial classes at CC or something. We need the science to be easy on time, IYKWIM? I have for materials , Hakim's History of Science , workbook & teachers guide. Old BJU science texts, Life,General, Earth science, Biology, Chemistry & Physics for reference. There is a co-op nearby that does Apologia Biology, but if I am going out I'd rather it be for other things, public speaking, stage work, drama.I have a lot of other demands on me and we aren't the sort of family that runs in the opera circles or is floating in dough to fund her preperation. So what could we do as a minimum for 2 units of science? Can she do Hakim and add books, DvD's , color books and call it 10th grade science? Any ideas?

What kind of carpet cleaning?
Hyzenthlay in Pa. replied to Margo out of lurking's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I like Chemdry carpet cleaning company. It's a bad choice of names, they clean with an orange scented club soda like solution. They have taken out stains I didn'tthink possible. Dries fast, no residue. -

What about doing some family time on current events, and the current events & culture of each decade? For each decade you could: if not read , look up popular books of the time watch movies about then the hits movies of the time radio programs Tv shows Newspapers & magazines sports arts new technology advertzing new foods, fad foods, diets where did they vacation fashions scandals- compare Arnold with your decade News this week- other end of the world dates, 1844,1914,1975 Weave discussions into meal time conversations, your movie nights, recordings in the car.Keep it fun and informal. -
