  1. I've heard it pronounced Ha-vee-ay along with the other variations above.
  2. That was beautiful! She is a very talented young lady!
  3. If you look at Nordstrom's site they are also selling paint splattered and ripped jeans for a mere $425. I really should raid dh's side of the closet - he's got our retirement in there
  4. What about a banker's rubber thumb cover? That would (should) cover up to the first knuckle.
  5. I was meant to be left handed but was one those children forced to use their right hand (not my parents fault - they were just following doctors suggestion and knew no better). I can do most everything with my left hand. The writing is not pretty or quick :) but if I needed to I could train it I think.
  6. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Thoughts and prayers. I am sorry for your loss but thankful that he is no longer in pain. Praying the family fallout will be minimal! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  7. Totally agree with all the above. No point in restating what these ladies have already said :) I'd pursue an evaluation now. I can't imagine your Ped. wouldn't have requested an earlier appointment and suggested a Dev. Ped. without some amount of concern. The benefits of early intervention are huge. My feeling is - the early you work on any areas of struggle the better. From a practical standpoint, having a diagnosis may open up insurance coverage for things you might not qualify for otherwise. Most of all :grouphug: :grouphug:.
  8. Great job!! Congratulations!! That news definitely needs a brag post.
  9. Chop them up and mix with shredded coconut. Roll into balls or small logs. Yum!
  10. You are not alone!! I've got an exhausted senior here too. She's so tired of trying to finish up senior year strong while working on scholarships, college decisions and everything that goes with it.
  11. What a sweetie! Enjoy those baby snuggles.
  12. That sounds par for the course. One of ours was right around $5000. The other was closer to $5400 but she had an appliance on one side for several months.
  13. Double the spices in pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin etc :) We love to really taste the spices in anything pumpkin.
  14. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  15. Our yellow lab was named Duchess. other dogs - Sandy Lady (Ladybug) Ginger (Gingerbear) Spunky Wagner
  16. I need a 'both' option :) I eat them with shells and without depending on my mood. LOVE pumpkin seeds! ETA - changed my vote from other to both :)
  17. My parents are planning to head that way on Monday with one of my kids to visit with family driving south (it's sort of a midway point). My people will be driving up 95. Mom was wondering this morning if they should rethink the idea of coming that way in light of Matthew's aftermath. If you are in area -are there any issues with traveling in the area? Flooding etc? Thanks!!
