  1. DD 13.5 wears no makeup and is not interested in it at all. She is interested in boys only in a removed, sort of amused way - watching her friends and passing messages, etc. She sort of liked a boy at tennis but didn't really pursue it in any way and it doesn't occupy more than a passing moment or two of her time.
  2. My dd was 12.5 when she started her period and she taught herself to use a tampon shortly after. She has decided she doesn't like them and will probably only use one when she is swimming.
  3. Well this is just presumptive and offensive. You don't even know me but you call me unable to critically assess information and choosing to believe baloney.
  4. DD12 had these white bumps for a few years (ages 9-11). When she gave up dairy they completely cleared up. Now her period has started and she still has smooth clear skin.
  5. When I first got mine I found out I averaged 2500 to 4000 on a given typical day. I had to really work to get to 7000-10000. I mean really - walking in place at the end of the day, using the rebounder, etc. If I didn't think about it one day, back to one or two lights blinking slowly. The highest I ever got was 13000 steps when we did a four mile hike one day plus other running around. DD12 asked to wear it to tennis yesterday because one of the other girls had one on. Later in the day I got an email saying I got my first 15000 daily step badge! Huh? She said 'oh yeah, that thing was vibrating about halfway through clinic'. I think she topped out at over 17000 by bedtime doing nothing but tennis and then her usual sitting around the rest of the day. She told me I need to set the goal higher.
  6. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  7. Crate and Barrel has great candy in nice packaging. We buy several different kinds for our employees every year. The peppermint bark is delish!
  8. DD12 says yes to the first and no to 2 and 3. She likes the Compass color in #1.
  9. Ours went out yesterday. We've received two already - dd is having fun!!! :boxing_smiley:
  10. In the past week I've bought hazelnuts (Bob's Mill), ghee, olive oil, coconut butter, coffee. I've bought tuna fish (Henry and Lisa) and cat food (Spot's Stew) in the past. Lots of other things I can't think of at the moment. I love stocking up at Amazon. I've found these are great products at great prices and usually I have them at my front door in a day or two - no driving around looking for specialty stuff!
  11. DD was born 10/25/01 and she doesn't seem particularly stressed. She is fairly strong and resilient even though anxiety runs in our family. :tongue_smilie:
  12. My daughter fainted the first time when she was eight and was taking out her earring for the first time. She was in the bathroom looking in the mirror and luckily I was right behind her and was able to catch her. Freaked me out. The second time she passed out was in the movie theatre watching Soul Surfer (she was 9). It scared her not knowing what was happening but she hasn't had an episode since. I wasn't quite as freaked that time because I sort of knew what was happening but it isn't fun. :tongue_smilie:
  13. DD9 feeds the cat/dog, cleans litter box, walks the dog every day, takes out the trash, empties dishwasher, cleans her room, picks up other rooms when I ask, occasionally makes a meal, runs the stuff into the post office, moves clothes from washer to dryer and brings upstairs. I don't pay her an allowance for that but will pay for 'extra projects' like cleaning the car, or cleaning the whole house when it needs to be done and she wants money, raking leaves, etc.
